In Sweden you are allowed to burn ANY book you want as long as you own it, but I can also guarantee you that nearly every Swede would disagree/condemn the burning of any book as well. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!

We are among the least religious countries in the world, very peaceful and we don’t get up out of our chairs to watch a book burning. He said, “I did not come to you until we had left it like a scabby camel.” Then the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) blessed the horses of (the tribe of) Ahmas and their men five times.

You forgot to tell that his name is Salwan Sabah Metti Momika and he is an Iraqi citizen who burned the Koran. He withdrew his own request to burn the Torah. He took advantage of Sweden's goodwill to have him as a guest in the country. Swedes would never burn it. I am a swede. In Sweden you can burn what ever book you damn please. We are a secular country being OVERRUN by Muslim "refugees" who come in to our country and demand that we accommodate them in every way. The thanks? Gang criminality, daily shootings, no go zones and neighborhoods bombed. This was a protest against what Islam preaches, namely to take over and islamize every place you go. We are still a democracy, and if you want to burn books, it's your right to do so.

As a Muslim, I believe that the holy books should never be burned, whether changed or unchanged.

We believe it is a sin to destroy any holy books of Allah SWT, the Torah and Bible were still sent by Allah SWT, after all we worship the same God of Abraham

A few things here: 1. The Quran burning guy is danish 2. is was not illigal to burn any holy book (it's call freedom of expression) 3. The Egyptian man didn't burn the Torah or the bible because no one cared, and no one showed up to protest him. It's also quite ignorant of someone to hate something they think is so self disproving enough to burn the book that can be traced back to the time of the prophet Muhammad. Literally there's a living chain of transmission from then to now in the scholarly echelons of Islam. There's no good moral excuse for burning a holy book that is in and of itself a primary religious source. There's no reasons for jews or Muslims to be fighting each other. Nor Christians for that matter. Under the same Creator. Legally, you can get away with all kinds of shit. Should you use legality as your moral compass? Not really. The government isn't fucking moral. Half the regulations and laws we have are lobbied.

I do think it's important to say that when Paludan burned the Quran back in Easter of 2022, a huge amount of all muslims in several cities went out and just started destroy a bunch of stuff. Over 100 police officers trying to keep the peace were injured as a result. So it's great that they didn't burn the Torah, but I'd honestly prefer that over 100 police officers being hospitalized.

As a Swedish person i absolutely hate these burnings, we get so much negative rep. And then i and others i know get harassed by muslims for living in the same country as this man. Im christian but i refuse burning any scripture.

You do not think this has to do with the quran? (5:51) O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as Auliya’ (friends, protectors, helpers, etc.), they are but Auliya’ to one another.
