Tip: A lot of chiffon are see-through… sometimes they’re okay with layering but I feel most comfortable if I wear a jersey layer underneath the chiffon …

I wear a chiffon hijab but I wear an undercap underneath so is that okay?

@@salsfrs yeah I do too, as long as the chiffon is doubled over then it’s not see-through. So if you fold the front, pin in front, then wrap it over the head, it has 2 layers all around… this can get tricky, especially at the shoulder area where the chiffon can fly up because it’s so lightweight… if I’m really worried or it’s a windy day, I would just wear a jersey hijab 🤣. Or wear an amira-style undercap (goes down past the shoulders)… personally, I like the “amira” style better than “ninja” because “amira” isn’t tight on the neck…

The “face scarf” you’re referring to is actually called a niqab. Basically some scholars believe that if you want to be more modest even after starting to wear the hijab then you should wear the niqab (since it covers up even more). This is in no way and obligation though and no one should force a woman to wear it (ik that you may have seen things about certain countries enforcing such laws but these are cases of corruption, not actual Islam). Salam was Alaykum sister! I am new to niqab and was wondering if you could answer technical questions about wearing it. Such as, how to keep the niqab in place when it is windy outside? What you do for photo ID’s or when in airports how to properly show face? Do we need to request a seperate room or quickly lift the niqab and put it back in place? I worry over the small technicalities 😅
