Only a Hindu family will adopt a Muslim child. Only a Sikh family will marry without asking to change reloligion. Very tragic, yet beautiful story.

Janab Satsriakal ,I have read her book .To some extent you are right .She was a brave lady .I wished to meet her but left for her final rest .She knew all Holy Quran as well as Guru Granth Sahib ji verbally & Ramayan also .May her great Soul rest in piece .

Very sad story . The fault of indian and Pakistan premiers who fid not ponder over first on the repercussions of one india division .

It's really sad what her mother has to go through but I didn't like mother's advice for daughter that go to Lahore and marry a Muslim man.... Mother got betrayed by husband specially when she was pregnant. 😔 Mother got betrayed by brother, In laws 😏family wants her to get married a brother in law and she still wants her daughter to marry a Muslim man. She should teach a daughter that how good Hindu family was with her so daughter should marry a indian man. That proves to me, mother was so ungrateful woman in the world.

Everyone should move on British India was divided in two countries and there should have been free travel between the two countries The division was not managed properly and they should have taken time to plan If it was visa free travel between the tow then people would not have rushed across the border

Blame Muslim custom of marrying more than one woman at a time. Before dust settles , Muslim man starts new family rightaway without finding out what happened to previous wife and a child! It's all ok according to Muslim law! Here Hindu old man raised and accepted daughter of his Muslim friend!

And may I ask what Jinnah was doing as Nehru was deciding the borders. He was propped up by the British. Jinnah was out to destroy India as a nation and as an ancient culture. It was the fake Muslim called Jinnah who was the villan of the partition. He insisted on partition in the name of Islam but drank, smoked and consumed pork which are forbidde n in Islam. His supporters were the landed Muslims of UP who thought they will have a Heaven in a Islamic country Pakistan, which is now the new name and address of Hell.
