"I'm not in love with your culture, I'm in love with the deen." This entire poem was exceptional from start to end but I loved this line. Sometimes when life gets hard and I see Muslims off the tracks I have to remind myself it's the deen I love and I shouldn't get distracted by the way some Muslims act.

@graceman, what music? There's no instruments. Rasululah saw, used to ask one of his companions to recite poetry on his travels. This is poetry. And it's reminding of Allah and truthful matters.

i love Muslim Belal, but just one thing is bothering me, he says he took up Islam in 2002, but he was in the movie Anuvahood which was released in 2011, he didn't say 2002 for the purpose of the poem because he clearly stated at the end that it was his story and has been muslim for 12 years, does this means as he was a musim he starred in this movie? just wondering... anyway apart from that I think its amazing what he has done and how far he has come, may Allah guide the rest of the non-believers, and may Allah guide us to become better people, AMEEN.

Those that have bad intentions. I think for people who hate Islam for example and want to prove it wrong despite seeing g clear proofs, their hate and spite. Perhaps allah will let them stay misguided as opposed to sending them hidayah.

GOD does not have eyes he is not like the creation. likening GOD to the creation is kufr. mus t say the testification of faith immediately which is : I TESTIFY THAT THERE IS NO GOD BUT GOD AND THAT PROPHET MUHAMMAD IS HIS LAST AND FINAL MESSENGER

Yusuf Drake Brothers music and singing is haraam, you might aswell drink some whisky while your at it then! "And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e. music, singing, etc.) to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and takes it (the Path of Allah, the Verses of the Qur'an) by way of mockery. For such there will be a humiliating torment (in the Hell-Fire). (The Noble Qur'an - Luqman 31:6) "And Istafiz [literally means: befool them gradually] those whom you can among them with your voice (i.e. songs, music, and other call for Allah's disobedience)..." (The Noble Qur'an - Al-Isra 17:64 )

hes telling about his past before shahada...do we not know the story of the sahabas that intended to kill the prophet pbuh (umar) or those that wer polytheists? there is many hadith about their shortcomings. we are not scholars. average muslims need to stop declaring haram fatwahs on each other especially where there is difference of opinion or grey areas even amongst the scholars.
