@muskynut75 I agree, do a water release at mid 70's and keep the fish in the water if at all possible. If you have to have a picture get everything ready first and then lift the fish out of the water supporting the belly. Hold the fish horizontally, get a quick picture and back in the water. Hot surface temps, put your arm in the water and hold the fishes head below the water a foot or more and let it swim away and down. Just a foot or two can be quite a few degrees temperature difference.

Lots of panfish and Northern. Muskies have been slow. Going for catfish this week.

Generally muskie fishing is slow on Big Creek but there are times they are very catchable. This time of year should be the best. So far as smallmouth I have not heard of any in that lake. There is an area of river below Lake Panorama that is catch and release only for smallies.

Hi from 1 to 10 how would you rate this lake for musky fishing. What lake in Iowa would you rate number one. We fish for muskies twice a year in northern lake of the woods like to find some fill in lakes. Nice video.
