I love how Alex sounds so excited about everything, it's adorable and refreshing too because we all can feel the same excitement even when it's simple stuff sometimes

Your birds have the funniest look when they look directly into the camera.
The easy way to get your garden tilled is to hand Gail and Alex a metal detector and a shovel! LOL
I've been binge watching your videos since last night. So glad I discovered your channel!! I Love your editing..and ..your narration and voice are amazing! I adore the relationship you have with your Mum! Keep up the amazing work and be safe! Much Love from America!!
When Gail said "someone was putting makeup on in the garden" I pictured an old farmer secretly putting on lipstick! 😂😂

Wonderful video guys, thank you! I'd love to see an episode where you talk about your very local history. The Scottish border region has a history to rival any other.

I love that you have so much fun together, tossing the caber was hilarious 😂 x
I loved it when your bird tried to eat the coin 🤣
Happy VE day, history is found in the ground. But look to the sky and wonder how much history it saw. Makes me feel like a drop of water in an endless ocean.

So sweet to think about the little boy who played with those toys.
You and your mother are true humans. Watching you carefully relocate a snake just illustrates the beauty of your soul. Your Peahens are lovely. It’s a joy to see the asides to where you live; it’s priceless. Your enthusiasm and your optimism are inspiring. You are an ocean away but in my heart of hearts you are right next-door.
Thanks for another great video. The buckle is off a WW2 British Army webbing ankle gator, its has a distinctive S bend so that it lies flat when fastened.

Well spotted.
I love watching your family treasure hunting, whatever little trinkets and bits and bobs you happen to find! I plan on metal detecting our huge yard and field when the weather gets warm enough. The fun is in the hunt, because you don't know what you will find. Thank you!
Love the shrews xxx you are fantastic down to the music xx lovely escape from life
Very nice! You don't have to travel far to find treasures!! Great video! Thanks so much 🙏 💓 ☺️ 😊
You can see the dinosaur heritage in the close-ups of the shwoos. Loved the caber tossing.
Thanks for doing these lockdown videos.... you know digging up your yard for us. You are letting people(us) see moving forward can be done differently even though we are locked down. Great energy in your videos.
What is the best to me is your mother and daughter and you are best friends that is the best thing of this whole Podcast the closeness between a mother and a daughter That travels beyond time and that is priceless that is a bond that can never be broken true love best friends you are both the same mother and daughter.n You are so much alike with both of you what's unique Passion and the knowledge of what you find it is just wonderful to watch from America with love
Love the boss 🐓 namemade me chuckle out loud👍
This was deliciously fun. I love how you can go into your yard and come away with delightful historical and fun finds. I could dig to China in my back yard and not find a single thing. I loved the bit of Scottish Games there at the end. You all are Caber tossing champions...ha ha ha...I've see the fellows at the Scottish Games do that here in the States, but have never seen the genuine article from Scotland. Very impressive...ha ha ha...I loved it! Your detecting in the garden and back yard look like such fun, and I am amazed at how far your garden area has come along. I am truly impressed with all of your hard work. Thank you for another lock-down liberating adventure. I hope you have a wonderful day!
Oh wow! That compact looks quite a bit like it might be from Kigu of London. I have had my eye on a few of their vintage compacts for a while and that one you have found looks like one out of their 1963 catalogue.
Some interesting finds ladies!! Glad to see you out enjoying the lovely sun! Will seems like he’s adjusting to camera life! He’s quiet the handsome young man!! We think you’re amazing too Alex! Lol 💕💕🇦🇺👍

My Grt grandmother used to give us girls her empty compacts ,perfume bottles, lipstick containers, we used to go outside and put them in our little purses and play with them. So when you find them in the garden, I can picture little girls playing with their Mothers or Grandmother’s empty containers like toys ,and they probably left them out there! 😊 That is my guess!
Looks like the shwoos need some treats 😋
Hello Gail and Alex and Will love this combination video and what great finds your schroos are so entertaining your garden will be worth every plant you grow I luv the stone wall take care see you sun 😎😚🤗🤗🤗
Wow , It must be nice to find that much treasure in your own backyard . Enjoyed the video . keep up the great explorations and larking : )
I love how you said that treasure is what you think is treasure. So true! I love that everyone is looking for different things and finding happiness bonding over that. Love your birds and property ❤️
Alex says " It's a coin! It's a coin" Treasure!!!"
Great finds keep these videos coming thank you
I love when you present your finds cleaned and organized ... I had a good time too !
Glad to see you were able to get your brother in the video. I remember you said he normally avoids it. Great finds and video.
Good evening ladies. The toy tractor is a massy ferguson 135. Early 1970s. Possibly made by brittons . I learnt to drive on one as a youngster. The pistol ball was made in a ball mold that had a sprew cutter in it. It looks like a type of pliers. But the could be made single or in bunches. Type in pistol ball hand mold and you will see. Thank you for your entertainment. Keep safe 🐝😷

I was about to mention that about the tractor. ERTL Massey Ferguson. I believe it's an 1155 though, not a 135.

Another great vid. I think that the bit of wood with the cog on the end is probably from an old hand cranked wooden mangle for squing the water out of your washing. My grandmother had one, as well as the old dolly tub and posser. The old equivelent to todays paddles inside of a modern washing machine. She also had a rubbibg board and copper for boiling the water to put into the dolly tub. When the local council decided to modernise the houses, she gave these items to the Granada props department. Every time I se a programme showing these items I wonder if they are the ones that my gran gave to them. regards, bill.
Ah that was so much fun thank you for sharing.

Oops ! Hate when that happens- -the people before us just tossed all their trash in the back garden. I wonder if all your lead bits were from musket ball making
I am new to your channel and I absolutely >love< watching you two and the excitement you share when you find something. I live in Washington State, USA, and I often lament our lack of history here. The things you find are incredible. And oddly, I watch Aquachigger as well! Both of your channels are very educational and so very, very relaxing. Thank you for taking us along on your adventures. Stay safe!
You put both hands under the caber and balance it to your shoulder before your run-up and throw...but you all had a damn good try! !:^) There was a lot of lead, tin and a bit of silver mining went on in the Borders, Leadhills being obvious but Wanlockhead and such areas too. As someone commented below, the lump of lead could be the hidden treasure in the lot! Thanks for sharing your time. All the best. Stay Safe and Keep Well!
Maybe that big hunk of lead was where they got the lead for the musket ball mold?
It is off a hot water bottle. I still use one, but in my 70's.
Looks like you've found a copper hammered coin 👍Well done on another cracking video.
Thank you☮️🇨🇦
This was a very fun video TY 👏👏
I love that you have a clothesline and you use it nothing better than sun and breeze to dry clothes.♥️

I’m a bit late to the party… the tractor is a Massey Ferguson. Can just make out the badge on the front and it’s red. Great video, so cool what you can find in your garden 😀
YAY! More searching around the homestead! Do you have an old photo, lithograph or painting of your tower? Or of a similar tower? I want to see it! What rich, brown soil you have -- you should be growing corn or something there! But it is interesting that many of these artifacts -- excuse me, *treasures* -- are a good 10" or more down. It would seem that there has been a bit of soil dumped/laid-down over top in the intervening 100-200 years, moreso that I would expect as a natural process. Maybe a buildup of fertilizer for farming? Would love to know more of the history of the house too -- age, who built it, any odd architectural features. Go full Time-Team!!! Thanks!!! Stay safe!!!
Nice to see Will.
It’s so beautiful where you live
You are so blessed to have two wonderful children. I'm amazed with all your funds you found in your yard.
Handsome son an beautiful daughter! loving the things you get excited about.
With every metal detecting video people keep holding their breath with a hope you strike a pot of gold :) Good luck. Truly amazing :)
Thanks for a great video!
Thats a part of a burner where the flame comes out.
The dodgy signals are because the coin is on its edge. The tiny coin is probably a Scottish "bawbee" A bawbee was a Scottish halfpenny. The word means a debased copper coin, valued at six pence Scots, issued from the reign of James V of Scotland to the reign of William II of Scotland. They were hammered until 1677, when they were produced upon screw presses. The tractor thing is a tyre valve.👍
Push Mower? Fishing Reel? The first thing I thought of was a 'Roller from a Mangle'.
Also, Happy Mothers Day !
Double double toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble
First I love the swoos! Second, you travel so much to find treasures, but there's a bunch in your back yard. Literally! Thanks for sharing. You crack me up.
