The drum is called a dhol, and the bassist was on holiday during the shoot, that's why he's not in the video

Welcome to the Bloodywood fan family! Happy to have you here. Yes, their rap lyrics are always in English and the clean and/or growls are usually done in Hindi or Punjabi. The references to Sepultura and Soul Fly are pretty common, actually. 👍 That wasn't a sitar you heard; it's called a tumbi. And yes, those were synths you heard. Bloodywood isn't afraid to incorporate everything into their music (including the kitchen sink!)

Vishesh (Drums) Roshan(Bass) and Sarthak(Dhol) are full time members of the band as well. If you react to other songs, please go for Dana Dan. They always have a message to their music and Dana Dan talks about sexual assault and how much of a problem it is in India. They're also an incredible bunch of musicians who have come so far from just being in a small room making covers to now selling out venues across Europe and the UK ❤

"from our point of view a foreign band" 👍. It's not every day your hear someone point out the ultimately obvious fact that we are all foreigners to the majority of mankind 😮

I love this band! If you want to hear a bad-ass flute solo, check out their song Aaj. You won’t regret it. All their songs are great!

The drum you were thinking of ... is DHOL. Predominantly used in Punjabi folklore.

I just came across this band a few days ago for the very first time. And it is also the very first time that I actively searched for reaction videos to a band/song because BOY nothing else has ever blown me away like they did. That is the whole package: Awesome, professional metal music; traditional, special music elements and even some percussion; lyrics that - at least for this song - I can 110% subscribe to. We should team up with these boys and build a new world, man. MORE!

Percussion instrument is called Dhol and the string instrument is called Ek Tara, literally means one string. Yup! It’s a one string traditional instrument used quite a lot in Punjabi folk music.

Oh, mentioned Bloodywood on another video of yours, but you alrdy did them here. Btw, they produce thenselfs with no big label. These guys rock. Check out more of them. Yaad, Aaj and Dana Dan are some of their highly recommend songs. Just got my personal copy of their album to support them. Because normally I don't buy albums anymore. Todays all about streaming, but they are so great and with no big label in their back, we need to support them.

Tanuk tanuk drum homie Edit: the big deal for you is that the timing is off. It uses a three beat instead of a four beat rythym. Its pretty alien at first

Bloodywood will blow your mind the further you get into them. Dana Dan and Aaj are the next steps for you. If you are going around the world and checking out other countries, come on over to Australia and check out our fabulous Eurovision representative, Voyager. They are synthy djent prog metal - great older songs to check out (my fave) Ghost Mile or Ascension. Every album and song is different.

It's folk because most Indian folk music is essentially metal without the metal sounding instruments
