I can't put my finger on it, but there's something very nostalgic about Homeboy--I love it and I don't like many fresh bright songs.

Yes, Captain was credited for producing for the entire album once again. It's so interesting to hear xikers music, considering Hongjoong doesn't produce much for Ateez, but everything for Xikers, while the rest of the team is the same. Can't wait for what the future holds for xikers!

Guys believe me, you will absolutely love the 2 other mv and the all album. This guys are already so talented they debuted less than 6 months ago. It's insane.. Koong then do or die would be a good choice.. And thanks for your videos 🤗

I love this one so much, and I really love the shout outs to Junghoon through the whole thing. There's this element of nostalgia and sweetness, but it's mixed with the unpredictable. It's so good. ETA: yes, Hongjoong is credited on all the songs on this album, too.

I agree it's uniquely a xikers sound. And that isn't just one thing, but the whole vibe. This is one of my favorites, along with sunny side, but you'll understand after you listen to the rest of the album to say it's kind of hard to pick one over the others

6:10 I 10000% agree with you, here. I think this is why Homeboy is one of my favorite Xikers tracks. It could have been boring, but it WASN'T, it's so so good in so many ways. From the beats, the harmonies, the use of autotune, Yechan having the first rap verse. The attention to detail that went into making this song is incredible. The MV also suits it so well. Can't wait for your reactions to Koong and Do or Die. Those, along with Homeboy are my favorites from this album, though the entire album is a no skip for me, once again. Xikers are killing it.

Yep, it was definitely the 808 bass that's my fave part of this song. They do drill beats soooo well and I think that's why I'm obsessed with them haha. I can't wait for you to hear Koong!!

As much as I love ateez, xikers has just been dropping tracks that are very nostalgic for 90's kids. Like early 00's western boy band music and I really really love it! This album has got to be my favorite! Sunny Side, Run and Homeboy seriously has climbed up at the top of my favorites list.

I LOVE this song!! It's so beautiful and fun. There's a strange nostalgia to parts, and the choreo clicks so well with the song. Been listening to it on repeat!

You said it perfectly. I feel so lucky to have found Xikers this early in their career so I can be part of the journey with them. It feels really special to be apart of. I’ve seen them live 4/5 times and they are so impressive. Can’t wait for their US tour to start 🫶🏻. Tickets aren’t on sale but we already booked our hotel 😂.

i guess the well of kq is bottomless ... and come on how long is this track??? it felt like so long. xikers are so super fresh talented joyfull sharp beautiful... i feel they combine all different good qualities that we've seen in kpop krock and kanything till now. were they the perfect trainees probably yeah... video is so new.. guys i am sorry but you gonna flip out with koong.... cant wait for that reaction

Totally agree with what you said in regards to the inherent "tricky-ness" of everything they do. On the surface Homeboy might seem like a typical "bright" song by a typical rookie group but when you dig in there's just enough of a twist musically that sets them apart as something unique and special. For the rest of the album the 3 B-sides Run, Skate and Sunnyside remind me a bit of Homeboy. Do or Die is it's own thing and Koong is VERY different from anything else on the album. Between Koong and Do or Die, Do or Die is my favorite but I'm guessing you guys will like Koong best due to its uniqueness

My understanding is KQ created a team for xikers where Maddox and Hongjoong are kind of running point (probably to make sure there was a clear distinction between ATEEZ's and xikers sound). I highly recommend Koong. It has a performance MV but I recommend the dance practice because the darkness of the MV obscures a lot of the choreo. I've followed ATEEZ for some time, so I am familiar with incredible dancing and let me tell you, Koong is S tier.
