Most people don't like this song with the excuse of using too much autotune. So what? Here , Txt used it in the best way possible. But this song was performed in their world tour n it got viral for its choreography. A song that has similar fate like this was eternally when it too got viral for its choreography. I hope people appreciate such masterpieces 🥺🥺🥺.

Song and vibe is really good but I also don't it's heavy auto tune.

There are so many little references to their other songs in Balance Game!! For starters, it’s obviously referencing PUMA by making references to the real-life puma that was the inspiration for PUMA-when a puma escaped a zoo in Daejeon and was shot dead. In Balance Game, Soobin says he’d have probably just stayed in the zoo, but Beomgyu follows up by saying that he doesn’t know how the puma would feel-so he doesn’t want to make a choice. That’s why the English title is “What if I had been that PUMA?” aka, what choice would I have made? Even just the concept of pitting two different choices against each other is something they’ve explored in songs like Blue Orangeade and Angel or Devil. In Blue Orangeade, the concept is “we like different things, and yet we love that and think it makes us work even better together!” while the concept of Angel or Devil is “I want to pursue you, but I can’t figure out if I should be sweet and slow, or if you’d prefer me to be bold and assertive? I want to do it the right way, the way that wins your heart.” Balance Game also references Can’t We Just Leave the Monster Alive? by having a video game concept (referencing EXP & the having to choose between A or B, like in a game). CWJLTMA has the narrator stating that they don’t want to kill the monster, the final boss, that they want to stay within this game and hide forever, to choose to not finish the game. CWJLTMA is about not wanting to grow up and become adults. PUMA is about debuting and entering a vicious industry. Balance Game is about the initial decision right before PUMA, the fear of making the choice to escape the zoo, the fear of not having any experience, of wondering if escaping is the right thing to do. They also reference Run Away a couple of times, like when Soobin says, “Run away!” In the background during Yeonjun’s part in verse two. TXT and their lyricists and other creatives are incredibly good at weaving together the lyrics of a lot of their various songs to tell a cohesive story-it’s wonderful! It’s like how Nap of a Star & Can’t You See Me? have a TON of directly parallel lyrics.

Another great video! From what I recall, this song titled What If I Had Been That Puma was a follow up to their other song Puma previously released in The Dream Chapter: Eternity album, which was inspired by the puma zoo escape story that happened in 2018. WIIHBTP flips the story putting the members in the puma's perspective with the choice of either staying trapped in its cage or escaping and finding freedom, hence the Korean title Balance Game. I tried to explain the premises of the story as best I could so if I missed anything, got something wrong, or if it simply doesn't make sense, I apologize lol. Anyways, TXT comeback The Name Chapter: Temptation coming January 27!! Can't wait for the drop and you guys' reactions to the release!!

Imo the autotune in this song sets up the atmosphere very nicely coz it makes me picture an 8bit game with options Yes or No. This or That. I think the autotune was like that on purpose and I love this song so much. The storytelling is also cool. This song is related to PUMA. In PUMA, they are the "main characters" which are the PUMAs. They live and tell the story in that MV. In this song, they are just the player, making choices for the PUMAs without much serious consideration, wanting to even skip it. This is also reminding me of "Cant we just leave the monster alive?" which has the same setup, where they are the gamers that can reset the game as many times as they want. TXT is coming back on January 27 with The Name Chapter: Temptation! XD

You should react to Ring, it's a japanese track and it has the best bridge of their discography so far, their vocals are insaaaane, also, Opening Sequence, one of the best songs they have

This song is a perfect example of how you can use auto tune effectively. The effect is there without masking their voices! Their colors and clarity still manage to push through beautifully.

Fair Warning: especially to casual fans and listeners, this album might focus on a lot more in their lore, theme-wise, concept-wise as well as the lyrics. While there are various stories their mvs tell, like the stories from their title tracks, it is not exactly the same as the txt universe/the star seekers. You can see which contents are connected to it because it's labeled at the very end of the mv or at least there is a logo somewhere. We might not know a lot so far abt the album theme but there are a lot of references in the concept trailer with the themes that is also seen in other media contents of their lore such as the webtoon and webnovel.

If you had just waited a couple more weeks you could be early reviewing their comeback! just kidding. we’ll wait for years now. Ok, they had a song Puma and a song Can’t We Just Leave The Monster Alive? and I think of this title as a combination or reference to both but not exactly.

7:25 aside from them actually doing great in this track with the use of heavy autotune and still being able to use it efficiently for them that still allow the users to enjoy, in one of their behind/interview videos they did share that this track was one of the fun tracks they recorded to. As per Beomgyu, everyone in the booth and even the producer in the studio were just vibing and dancing along with the music. Which kinda amazes me, maybe some artists that try to use autotune in their tracks might find it hard to utilize it to the best of their abilities without messing the whole thing up, txt is literally just having fun with it.

I personally don't like the autotune in this song, but not because I think it's a sign that TXT is bad or that autotune itself is bad; I just don't like it. I _love_ the live version of this song because the autotune isn't so heavy. Thank you for the reaction
