Absolutely! Amazing comment, thank you. 👍 Lovebites set out to convince with what really matters: pure technical and musical skills _only_ . No additional or distracting "circus", no needless artistics. Instead, they time and again perform on the frontiers of what' s possible _technically_ , and of what makes sense in terms of the _music vibe_ desired. They dress like priestesses of Metal, or like ladies-next-door who perform a sole celebration. And please mind, that Asami transports their _Japanese_ thoughts and emotions into _English_ lyrics (which is another task), and that they merge music sounds that the Japanese populace is used to, with Western Metal sounds. An incredible, multi-layered quest. Given all these facts, Lovebites perform f***ingly convincing, and deeply impressive. I still continue to listen to Iron Maiden and Helloween as well, but Lovebites are "something else", a "different cattle of fish".

Props to Miayako playing her butt of when she is close to 5 moths pregnant. Much respect to her.

Miyako's child is the real baby metal

Miyako is very stoic when she is playing. I am convinced that while she is playing, she is writing new songs in her head. The woman is a musical savant.

The crazy thing is that they play 2-hour sets at that pace.

For what it’s worth… Miyako was wearing flats because she was 3-4 months pregnant at the time of this show. Lovebites also opened for DragonForce on a tour of the UK in 2019. There are a few of vids out there of band members going onstage with DF to perform. VERY entertaining!!

This is one of the last concerts Lovebites played before Miho left and they went on hiatus for some time. The concert was under COVID restrictions and they had to move it to a theater with seats instead of the usual concert halls. Also note that Miyako is some 4 months pregnant here.

Miyako composed this song, and Asami wrote the lyrics. Another brilliant song from Lovebites !! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Great suggestions! Break the Wall is incredible beyond the usual Lovebites-incredibility. Stand and Deliver is a step more into a punkish or The Who direction, but of course it's still not Punk or The Who, but metal. I personally also favor Frozen Serenade, Swan Song (the one with the Chopin intro by Miyako) and Soldier stands solitarily.

Hello, greetings from a veteran Spanish subscriber. A tremendous song, of course. The great M&Ms have left me impressed. I don't know what to say about them anymore, I don't find among men such an imaginative and virtuous duo. Haruna and Miho, as always, driving the locomotive with speed and safety and Asami......spectacular voice, ideal for these girls and really beautiful...I couldn't stop looking at her, she is an operations director who dominates the stage to perfection.

I would guess "The Hammer of Wrath" live 2023 might be a nice choice for next song. It's with new bass player Fami, and her first live appearance as member of LB. Many feared that she would be a downgrade compared to Miho. Though she's not that "Metal" as Miho was, with her Steve Harris style of playing, she has added her slap-bass style, and at the same time worked really hard to replicate the galloping style from the Miho-era. Really curious about what she will add to the new upcoming album.

You will like BREAK THE WALL (2020). It’s Thrashtastic, but also delivers a melodic surprise. MIDORI’s solo is incredibly fast and clean; my jaw always drops at her staccato run. And MIYAKO balances that intensity with delicious soulfulness. Also, revisit the HOLY WAR solos. They are among my favorites.

Miho was wearing shoes in this one - she always does. Their new bassist, Fami, has filmed herself in her home or apartment doing bass covers and doesn't wear shoes sometimes in those videos.

Amazing band and it's really fun to watch someone discover them like I did a few years back. Keep diving in 🙂 Other songs you probably will enjoy: Thunder Vengeance, MDO, Break the wall, Hammer of Wrath...All quite thrashy. Go for live when possible, they are at their best there. I saw today, they're in Dallas september 8, Las Vegas on the 10th and San Fransisco on the 12th. So far... small venues though but you need to show your appreciation in the US for these ladies ;-)

I suggest checking out the thrash songs of LOVEBITES. For example, bassist Miho's song 'Thunder Vengeance', with which the 'Electric Pentagram' Album (January 2020) begins and with which the Tour concerts began in 2020. If you want to hear progressive mixed with neoclassical, then I suggest checking out Miyako's song 'Dystopia Symphony', which was written under the influence of classical music and dedicated to the great Ludwig van Beethoven. A well-known music critic, in his review of the EP 'Glory, Glory, to the World' (March 2021), admiringly called 'Dystopia Symphony' a “neoclassical nightmare.” This song only exists on KZread in audio format for now, but it's worth checking out. 'Dystopia Symphony' showcases Miyako's talent as a composer and her passion for classical music. Personally, I put 'Dystopia Symphony' two notches higher than 'Holy War' and one notch higher than 'Set the World on Fire'. Unfortunately, 'Dystopia Symphony' is rarely recommended by fans of LOVEBITES.
