The tears come for me the second she picks up her granddads shirt..I’m certain it’s actually one of his shirts..you’re a smart young guy..impressed. Thumbs up. There’s nothing wrong with commenting on how she looks. It’s all part of the package..on the other hand we must keep in mind her age, she’s still a kid..bloody big one but still a kid..mind you I’ve met less mature adults..she does seem to understand the world she lives in with great clarity. Mad Musician, may l call you Mad? This is the first time seeing your reaction, and l am pleased to see someone of Angelina's generation, who is sensitive and intelligent do reactions. Angelina is and has been known by most everyone in the industry, yet apart from her internet fan base ( which is predominantly older people) she is still a hidden secret, to be revealed to the world at the proper time. The reason she has been mostly under the radar is so she could have a childhood. I see by just studying your face that you are sincerely moved by her...which is understandable. In Miilion Miles it is a tribute to her grandfather, but she also released this right in the heart of the Covid pandemic, as a comfort to those who have lost love ones, in that they are not always separated. As far as saying Angelina is Gorgeous, well their is nothing wrong with that. The only thing more gorgeous than her appearance is her heart! She is a total empath, and has been giving to children's charities since she was 7. She has a way of experiencing joy and pain without having neccesarily gone through it. She is as deep and human as it gets..l hope to see you react more to her. Stay strong young man.

The saddest part of doing the right thing, allowing Angelina to enjoy her childhood (therefore not promoting her), is that a vast majority of people on Earth have not heard this beautiful song. Personally, "Million Miles" allowed me to properly grieve the recent loss of loved ones and I am in a far better emotional place because of it. If you stop the video after the wind blows the page in her notebook, you can see Angelina's notes when writing this song, if you magnify the stopped video.

Angelina states (in the article link someone removed) "with this song, when I created the melody and lyrics, it started out totally different than what it turned out to be. It felt like something was guiding me in the studio." The producers were the Grammy winning duo known as "Stargate" who obviously had a huge influence on the final version. Angelina kept the Writing credit and Stargate the Producer credit. A beautiful final version.

The song changed from what Angelina originally envisioned into a better song with the input of Stargate who also worked with many great artists and won an Emmy. You should read the article. It does a great job of intervieing Angelina. I found it interesting.

Mr Mad Musician (if I may), what a wonderful 14:04 this was with you. You were close, it's about her grandpa. Angelina is, indeed a beautiful young lady with a heart filled with love. I know she'll be only 16 in January but she is so far beyond her years emotionally and people in the trade already consider her to be a musical genius. She is always aware of her voice going through changes as she ages and she adapts beautifully. She protects her voice and is a true professional in every way. Her magical voice, with all it's soulfulness and different colors keeps you spellbound when you listen to her and then you realize after listening to her you heard and understood every word she sang. She is a wonderful storyteller. There are many covers she does whereby she makes seemingly subtle changes but, in fact, is presenting the message of the song in such a new way you believe you've never realized what the song was about before. SiIr, a bit of info to her strength. In 2018 a friend of her, member of the royal Norwegian family died by suicide, shortly after her good friend Amici, she looked up to him, killed himself, again in the same year, she lost her paternal grandfather to a sickness. In November 2019 around the time they recorded AGT, a telephone call told the family, that they finally had lost her beloved maternal grandfather to, I think cancer. I read about this tragedy of her grandpa on instagram,written by herself. So, you can finaly imagine how strong this 15 year old woman (she is no child anymore) must be, to dedicate this song not only to her grandfather, but also to anyone who lost a loved one (her words).

Terrific show Mad. What I find interesting is how you pick up on so many small details and how they conspire to make her music so unique. I think it would be accurate to say that with her vocal abilities that, for her, it all comes down to choices. People talk about her ability to record a song with one take and, to me, all that says is that she has an innate ability to see the end product before she opens her mouth. I suppose it is a bit like some of the math geniuses who actually get the answer without really doing the math. In any event, she is a Godsend to those who so much enjoy her style and abilities. She has given me enough music already, to never stop listening to her.

What sets Angelina apart from every other singer for me is her immersion in the song and the lyrics. She lives the lyrics like no one else I’ve ever heard, especially on melancholy songs like this. Even more so on this one because it’s personal. Even though the music video is done tastefully, I prefer the studio version far more. No matter how well music videos are done, the singers are acting-and that doesn’t fit for me with Angelina. She is the best singer I’ve ever heard, and she doesn’t need to act. The emotion in her singing is all I need. I feel the same way about her Seventh Heaven video. It’s cute, it’s meant to be fun, but it’s contrived. Her studio version of Seventh Heaven is so incredibly classy. Nothing else is needed.

I agree that singing is all she NEEDS to do. Now add that she writes the music, arranges it and on top of that she can act! I don't know about you, but I enjoy the old musicals with Sinatra, Martin, Elvis, and on and on. I would be in the front row to watch Angelina singing in a movie. She was already on TV at 8 singing Bang Bang on Lillehammer.

I feel a bit different about Angelina conveying emotions in her voice. Don't get me wrong I am definitely not saying she can't. The opposite, this young lady is able to competently and expertly convey emotions that there is no way she could have experienced at a tender age. Yet she does it like a pro. A prime example, her cover of Billy Holiday's "Gloomy Sunday." She was only seven singing about suicide. She seems to be able to channel the original artist's emotion.

Her maternal grandpa died in Nov ‘19. She lost both her grandfathers in less than two years, as well as two friends to suicides, a very tough time for Angelina at such a young age. You hear her very well!

The song is inspired by the loss of her grandpa. She said it feels like a hole in her heart and her tears where flowing freely when recording in the studio booth (the video is using the released song recording). There's probably no song more emotional and personal to her than this one.

I don't believe this is the release version recording. If you listen to the phrase "I'm not alone to fight", the word "fight" is cut off in this recording and is held out in the other two videos that are done (lyric and official video) as well as the Spotify stream. In addition, the first time she runs out the word "Alone" on this one, it is different than the other 2 videos and Spotify where after "alone", she runs out with "No".

I read somewhere Angelina has said the studio version required multiple takes (unusual for her) because of her tears. Also, "Every Time We Say Goodbye" is one of my favorites, just Angelina and a guitar on a rooftop in Oslo. I understand she performed it just before leaving Norway at age 10 or so for a trip to the US.

Again what a great reaction. The analysis is better than I've heard from anyone else. I would highly recommend for your next reaction the very recent release of Adele's easy on me. Considered perhaps one of Angelina's best! The nuances of her voice and the emotion are palpable and amazing for 15 years old let alone any age.

FYI, the shoes, portraits in the hall, and sweater were her grandfather's. She used the actual journal shown to create the lyrics and artwork used in the lyric video. Her uncle plays her grandfather here, and her sister plays the younger version of Angelina. Angelina will be 16 in January, and is a tad over six feet tall.

I read that AJ dedicated the song to her paternal grandfather who passed away a couple of years ago. I also read that the recording of this live studio video was made sometime after the grandfather's burial, that's why she's dressed in black here. Great reaction, perspective, and insight from you.
