LOVEBITES - Glory to the World lyrics: Everything around us will fall into dark When you keep on looking into the sadness Nobody in this world may ever be free My hearts will shiver and I can't take deep breath But rains will end, and nights will pass, griefs will purify The dawn will come and bring the light in this world Grace to my heart, Hallelujah I know you really care for me So I leave everything in your hands You'd walk with me all the way Learning to love yourself It is the greatest love of all Time will come where we feel the love and the reason to be me Standing in nowhere and searching for meanings A sleepless night haunting us like a shadow A blur in the future, the fear of unknown There will come a time where we can leave everything behind Breeze are running through the land and endless to the sky Together we will make it through this deep night Grace to my heart, Hallelujah I know you really care for me So I leave everything in your hands You'd walk with me all the way Learning to love yourself It is the greatest love of all Time will come where we feel the love and the reason to be me And rains will end, and nights will pass, griefs will purify The dawn will come and bring the light and lead us to a new world Grace to my heart, Hallelujah I know you really care for me So I leave everything in your hands You'd walk with me all the way Learning to love yourself It is the greatest love of all Wherever you go, this world that we breathe together, Nothing more precious ----- lyrics: asami music: midori & Mao arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami)

They have over 50 songs, with three full-length albums, and three EPs. Out of all that, there is only one song in Japanese (Bravehearted from the first EP, and it was re-recorded in English for the first full-length album). Power metal is their primary genre (mainly inspired by Helloween and Angra), but they also have several straight thrash/speed metal songs (inspired by Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, and others), several that are in a more traditional heavy metal vein (inspired by Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Ozzy, etc.), and even some progressive metal. The newest EP (which this song is from) made a strong turn toward neo-classical metal, which is heavily evident in the songs "Paranoia," "Dystopia Symphony," and "Winds of Transylvania," though there are elements of it in this song, as well. The theme of this song was primarily to inspire those who have suffered grief and depression and loss due to the pandemic. That's what the self-love lines are about. It was also inspired by a trip that blonde guitarist Midori recently made to the US, during which she was invited to visit some Southern Gospel churches, and she was impressed by the passion of the gospel music she heard, so she wanted to bring some gospel elements to the song (the choirs are part of that). To add to what Midori wrote into the music, lead singer Asami also wrote some gospel elements into the lyrics, and she has said that some of the imagery in the video is an imagining of what it would like for Jesus to be reincarnated into this confusing modern world. So there are also some Christian undertones to the song, as well as the overarching theme of hope during the pandemic.

man when you led off with that bit from ELP'S 'from the beginning' you had me. i have the vinyl 'brain salad surgery' bought it new in 1973 and still have it in perfect condition - shows you how frickin' old i am. LOVEBITES is now my favorite band of all time and if you keep going with them you will see why. live is the best and you MUST use ponyboy's link below for 'holy war' live. your world is about to change. and they write all of their own music - around 50 songs so far - and their riffs , changes , fillers and transitions are already legendary after 5 years

also Miyako's masterpiece Swan Song with the Chopin Intro I dare any group to match her mixing Classical Chopin with rock songs like Break The Wall are more Slayer like and Set The World On Fire they have a couple power metal but they also do thrash speed metal and power ballads Epilogue is filled with the emotion you spoke of also they don't deliver the traditional dark message of metal bands they deliver lyrics that drive a more positive base like loving yourself, picking up the pieces and carry on no matter what happens never giving up.

The first two notes had me tricked...thought you were going to breakout some ROUNDABOUT for a second :) Nice job !! Welcome to the J-Rock/Metal journey. LOVEBITES is at the very top of the traditional heavy metal and power/thrash metal categories IMO. So much so, they really have reinvented the genera and set the new standard for how those styles of metal should be done. Second the recommendations for their live performances. You'll discover this band is unmatched in their technical precision. Just none out there that does it better live. If you're delving into J-Rock/Metal, I'll add NEMOPHILA to the list. DEMON LIGHT is a good first taste of what that talented group of fun-loving ladies can do. Welcome to it. 🤘🐺🤘

I hear what you're saying and I tend to agree. In their studio work the arrangements and mix are a bit off for my taste. Synths are pushed forward in the mix which clutters the music. But they do thrash, prog, 80s metal...they are very varied and heavily influenced by the 80s best. I suggest you give them another chance, preferably live as they sound better live.

I agree with you somewhat, that this does have a DF feel and not many changes, just flat out speed. Do not judge Lovebites off of one song, because they play so many different styles that many people find they love the band after not liking the first one. I suggest something with more mood or tempo changes. The best two songs for that are these: A Frozen Serenade: kzread.info/dash/bejne/X4Zl2axsiNzNn8o.html Edge of the World: kzread.info/dash/bejne/jKZtm6RtgtnHfcY.html
