What was really amazing is, that Coldplay rarely ever allow any artist doing a cover of Fix You, because it has such an important message and story behind. They knew BTS would treat the song with the respect it deserves, and they even commented and tweetet "Beautiful" after the MTV Unplugged.

PS. Their other performances were also really great. I particularly liked "Blue and Grey" from their new album. They really captured the mood of depression and sadness that the lyrics describe.

BTS are divided to vocal line which consist of -Kim Seokjin (Jin) -Park Jimin (Jimin) -Kim Taehyung (V) -Jeon Jungkook (JK) and rap line which in this performance they sing the lower register part -Kim Namjoon (RM) -Min Yoongi (SUGA / Agust D) -Jung Hoseok (J-hope) It’s crazy how talented they all are and you should check out more of their stuff and solo works too, cause their music diversity is also unbelievable. This is also not the first time we’ve heard them do something with rock in their music, though most of their mainstream pieces are pop, they actually have touched on countless of genres, it’s one of the reasons I love them so much, their music is very diverse

All of them can understand English but only RM is fluent. They're also fluent in Japanese.

I think only RM, Jimin and JHope is fluent in Japanese, they are the one who speaks most in Japanese interviews. Sometimes only Jimin and JHope do Japanese interviews.

If you like the rap side of things the best songs would be the cypher series 1 2 3 and 4 plus the cypher Medley live, ugh! And ddaeng the more pop sings are like dynamite idol, blood sweat and tears and then you have their ballads like blue and grey spring day, just one day They really have a wide variety of genres and then there's the very funny run series that you can watch on the v live app which you can get captions on and theres also the bon voyage series and in the soop series too

The guy doing the low notes is actually a rapper and leader for BTS. This was one of the first times he's singing with the vocal line and we were really surprised how well he blended the harmonies. RM sings a lot on his mixtape mono but his rap songs like Intro: Persona are just amazing!

RM speaks fluid English. Rest don't. The ones singing the lower octaves is the 3 rappers of the group. RM, Suga and J-hope.

So BTS 3 rappers are singing the low parts for Fix You and sometimes also sings their songs as part of hatmony that don't have rap lines. They can also sing their own individual songs as part of the melody when they are not rapping. All members of BTS reached a point now where they can almost speak basic English but they are more comfortable speaking in Korean or Japanese. RM who is the leader is very fluent in English and taught himself in his early teens by watching tv show Friends. He first used the english subtitles then removed it to test himself. He has an IQ of 148.

"Does he (RM) always sing the lower octaves?" - yes, but there is a unicorn of a song where somewhere in the middle of it he sings the "higher" part and Jungkook harmonises with him extremely low (which also almost never happens) - cover of Troye Sivan's "Fools". Almost fell off of my chair when I first realised it.

Actually the 3 rappers (who sing the lower notes with someone) dont sing often and im so glad they did in this cover because you can see that they really CAN sing if theyre not goofing around. Really great reaction. RM (the one on the right who sing low) is fluent in English, he learned on his own watching "FRIENDS". Rest of them can understand pretty well and they can say something but theyre still learning. Thank you for your reaction!

The 3 guys who sang the lower octave are actually rappers. This is one of the very few times that they do vocals.

Their title tracks are now always a mix of pop, but they love to play with genres on their side tracks. If you like rock, they did a emo rock version of Fake Love and i believe Tomorrow is also a mix of rock :) But i think you'd love Singularity, it's a neo soul song!

Bts have actually covered lots of genres: pop, hip hop, neo soul, ballads, rock remixes, latin pop, bit of jazz too. I'd check out stigma, serendipity, epiphany and the other solo songs on their albums. Each member has their own flare.

They all have beautiful voices. RM is a rapper but when I heard his voice no miracle

Vocally they sound amazing in Japanese, even more beautiful. They have quite the Japanese catalogue. They cover all genres and their rap line is fire. A lot of earlier work has a blend of R&B with rap and it's amazing how they make it work. Smooth as butter.

What makes this cover different from the original is their harmonies. Their English-singing experience: Jungkook have sung a full song in an all English song prior to Dynamite. It was Steve Aoki's "Waste It On Me" released several years back. Jungkook and Jimin was also featured in Lauv"s "WHO" singing in English.

The more you get to appreciate their discology you will see they aren’t limited to a genre. They are hip-hop, rap, r and b, rock, pop, ballad……it’s all there.

Yes they are not fluent in english except for RM the leader. It's truly amazing they sing so well in english. their vocals are always amazing, pitch perfect.

Creative use of spotlights to fill the instrumental space! Speaking of artists singing in other languages...PTX did a collab with Little Glee Monster, a Japanese pop girl group, on a Japanese song released Nov 2020. It’s beautiful! Released as “Little Glee Monster Dear My Friend feat. Pentatonix” THE FIRST TAKE also put out a version of what seems to be a recording rehearsal.

Unique voices, you nailed it!! each one of them really do and haters who dont know music will say they sound the same...

thanks for the reaction! if you like hearing them with instruments you should check out their concerts where they always have a live band. or maybe start with their performance of We are Bulletproof Pt 2 at MAMA 2019. it's a really cool rock version of one of their oldest songs (from their debut album)! :)

BTS actually have many songs with heavy rock influences. Those are some of my absolute favorites from them.

RM the one you ask if he sings low octaves. He’s a rapper. This is the first time he sing (no rap). He the leader and fluent in english. He learned english while watching sitcom ‘friends’

There was Waste it on Me colab with Steve Aoki that was all English, but it wasn't all of them, and some of them do English covers on soundcloud. Dynamite was their first all English song from the whole group on one of their albums.

Rm is singing under the vocals because he is the only person that speaks fluent English, he also did this in dynamite

They do speak English ...in varying degrees...RM is fluent in many Languages including English and has an IQ of 148....They are not all fluent at the moment ...but they are getting there ....They want to have their songs mostly Korean...Although they do put out All Japanese albums ........The 3 guys singing the lower octaves are the RAPPERS 💜

Based on what you've seen by them, I recommend their new Japanese singe "Film Out". They've been singing in Japanese since 2014 (in Kpop, it is completely normal and expected for groups to release Japanese versions of their songs or completely original songs in Japanese). The song is for a the main OST o a Japanese movie that was released already.

RM, the leader and the one of the far right of this performance, speaks fluent English. He taught himself. They all speak SOME English, but none of the other six are fluent, though Suga has said that he understands it pretty well, just doesn't speak it. They all speak Japanese as well. From the left... third in is Suga (Rapper), 5th in is J-Hope (Rapper), and 7th over is RM (Rapper). The fact that all three rappers SANG on this live performance amazed/excited ARMY; not that they've never sung before, but it's not common.

I read that the vocal coach made sure that BTS did not 'perfect' their English pronunciation for Dynamite, because she felt that their accents gave the song a special genuine vibe.However, in this performance, it sounds as though they have been singing this song for years...because they have been.

Thank you for reacting to this, I loved both the original version and bts cover, both are comforting in different way. All BTS members contributed as composer, producer, and lyricist for most of their songs, so you will see different genres from them as they are so versatile, and we can feel their music growing with them as they become more mature. So lyrics are important in their songs, because they talk about self love, mental issues, psychology ad many more. just to let you know, the three members who were singing the lower octaves were the rappers of the group, so they don't sing super often, however jhope (one of the rappers and is the one with the red mic) is also a sub vocalist, and we've heard suga and RM (the other 2 rappers) sing in their own mixtapes!

Four of the members are fluent in japanese ..chinese and also pretty good in english They choose not to speak in english mostly because it's better to have just one spokes person . But watch their videos and you will see mostly all of them can speak english

The youngest member have a lot of English song covers that he have shared with his fans through the years. He is also the group’s main vocalist. It’s true that only their leader, RM, is the only one fluent in English but JungKook,Suga, J-Hope have recently improved in their English as well. Please try to listen to Jungkook’s English covers.... specially 10,000 Hour.

RM does indeed sing that low and deep. He is actually one of the rappers of the group

Actually some members having some songs in full English RM having his solo track in full english. Kim Taehyung also known as #V having 2 solo track of his in full English ( Winter Bear and Sweet Night) and Blue And Grey his song also being full English (original song) but he changed in Korean after this added in BE album. And impressive thing is all 3 songs he wrote himself JK and RM having collab song with Steve Aoki full English ( waste it on me) JK and Jimin having also one collaboration song with Luv in full English
