Yep, J-LOD was a government grant to help performing arts survive lockdowns.

Just Band Maid staying in touch with their fans during the pandemic. This live performance with no audience was live streamed to more than 60 countries. Their biggest fan bases are in Japan and America; I think that's why they include both languages in their songs. They actually have at least 3 songs that are all English,the latest being Bestie. Someone recently commented they are all learning to speak English; I haven't heard any confirmation of that.

Nice to make a new maidiac at a young age. Your daughter is so cute and I am sure she will be following this band for years. Nice reaction.

This music video was for J-LOD, a Japanese government programme to help artistes during the covid lockdowns. The government gave grants to produce a video. One of the grant stipulations was it has to be 5 minutes long or more, hence two songs. The full length concert was livestreamed worldwide. Because of covid restrictions there was no live audience.

This was filmed in the middle of Covid. It was done live, but no audience. That secondary voice you heard was Miku. The 1-2-3-4 countdown is a digitally programed voice hooked into Akane's drum trigger. She also uses it on the beginning of their song "No God" for the drum intro.

I think she needs some phones of her own! 😃 Next song? Blooming for sure! Truly a masterpiece! ...and probably one of their songs they've struggled to do live, because of some ridiculous vocal-lines! So do the nice music video of it on their YT page. One of my favourite Kanami songs guitar wise!

Actually he asked her how fast and she said 220bpm and then asked him back and he said 230bpm and she said "I'm going to have to try again". We await.

Awe...what a cutie...just to be clear, I'm talking about your daughter.😂 Another great reaction. I think someone mentioned "Unleash!!!!!" OMV and have your daughter join you. If so, it's an awesome suggestion. If not, "Rinne" OMV goes hard. A composition masterpiece..."Blooming" OMV. In my top two favorites. The other "Daydreaming" OMV my other favorite. A stunning rock ballad and Kanami's favorite to play. Keep on rocking with the Maids! PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘

To be honest the little princess you have is correct! She can hear it in her brain for sure, that's how powerful the Maids are! ♥

The 1, 2, 3, 4 was an altered recording of Miku. They asked Saiki if she wanted to do it and she said no. Fits anyway for Miku to do all the tricks, both with the vocals and stuff like the pick slides and bending accents.

Hey nice job providing context. My memory is like Swiss Cheese and I constantly find myself searching to find which songs each reactor has already done. Also thanks for the warm fuzzies. My doctor tells me to seek them out for stress control so this covers my daily prescription!

If what you want is heavy while still positive and uplifting, try Nemophila. They're another band of ladies from Japan with lots of shredding, and the occasional banshee scream. I'm a huge fan of Band-Maid but I occasionally cheat on them ;)
