These people aren't beggars or panhandlers. They are self employed musicians who grace us with their music for whatever we wish to donate to help them continue their work in music. They put themselves out there for you enjoyment or you can be negative and they know that. Be grateful for not having to pay a large ticket price for that beautiful music. 😃😃👋👋♥♥
I never followed any of the social media moms, until I came across this family. I love when the mom just sits in front of the camera for 45 minutes and chats and let’s us know how in the world they live this sort of life. I like the kids and all, but what I really enjoy is when she and sometimes Marc speak about priorities, values, and faith. And they don’t preach, but you can tell how faith gives them the courage to take all these risks and lead such an unconventional life. They are very interesting people.
I'm glad to see well spoken and well rounded children that have been homeschooling. They are educated at home, not secluded from others.

@@karam7912 right?! My nephew is the same. Doesn't fear any social settings. He's on a rowing team. Fly fishing, frech club, and has 2 tutors for another subjects. Granted it's expensive but the public schools never did anything for my brother and I to a well balanced education. More like watching ur back because of the drama that teenagers have.
As a musical hobbyist, I don't think that it's wrong for the children to busk to help pay for their own musical development. Music lessons are expensive and high quality instruments are even more so. I think that it's fair for the kids to help pay for their own musical development as they get older. It's not like the parents are obligated to pay every penny for their children's musical development... And if they were, the kids likely wouldn't have nearly the same quality teachers and instruments now that they do because the parents simply wouldn't be able to afford paying for them. Busking has given these kids access to some of the best classical music teachers in the Country, and the ability to afford great quality instruments. That isn't a bad thing at all.

You’re absolutely right. I grew up in a homeschool family where we learned bluegrass. I had a couple hundred dollar banjo for many years and did well with it. As time went by it was my desire to get a better instrument. I worked extra jobs, busked, and was very kindly gifted some money to be able to buy an instrument that was a couple thousand dollars. When you get that next level instrument it sounds so much better and is easier to play so all you want to do is play it more and in turn become a better musician. My parents didn’t make me learn to play the banjo. I wanted to and they helped as best they could to make it happen and encourage me to be the best I could be. I’m nearly thirty now and to some degree can play six instruments by ear. I hope to pass the joy of playing music on to my own children. It’s such fun to be able to sit down and connect with others through music and bring some enjoyment to others that don’t play anything as well.

The power social media is a force to be reckoned with. This family of 12 was able to move from California to New York with mostly income from Instagram, Tik Tok and Facebook. Amazing!

They also said income from a house sale.. in San Diego. No judgement - my husband hasn't worked for a year (hard job search since graduating) and we've lived off savings almost completely. It's very wise. Also, just to see God's hand in how he's provided and lead this family is amazing to me. Way to walk by faith!

What an amazing family! And to be able to support themselves in such a unique way. The kids get to learn the value of hard work doing something they absolutely love - and doing it together. What amazing memories they are building in the process!
These parents have 10 kids from 21-month old to 21-years old. And one on the way. God bless them! And congratulations on having successful college students.
Such a beautiful family.
I’ve been following this family for a while. These kids inspire me so much! I’ve been playing violin for a while play a little piano and guitar, but I’m starting to play cello (something I’ve wanted to do long before I found them) and seeing these kids who are my age or close to my age is really pushing me to learn cello and play it well. I also just wanted to do a better job at perfecting my skills this go around and better my mistakes from playing violin all these years. I do hope Anna and Elijah reach their goals they deserve it!
What a delightful family. Music is so important. Keep reaching for your goals kids
Beautiful family 💯👏❤️ Idk how Elijah wouldn't get accepted, he's amazing. Wow when the reporter started singing, what a great voice. 😂 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Interview
Wow! Such a cool and talented family. They really remind me of a modern day Von Trapp family from the Sound of Music. Such a wholesome video :)
What an AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL program and coverage of your outstandingly talented and gifted family. I love being able to follow on your family's journey. Thank you for your faith and sharing your children's talents
I think this is an absolute and beautiful example of a family planning ahead for their children, and involving those children in the larger picture. The parents only benefit is that they will see their children succeed and come to a place where they see their hard work pay off. Just because they have a faith in God, does not mean there can be a negative spin on their story. Well done parents. For offering a healthy path that their children can choose to go down. Good parents offer good paths. 👍
Keep at it! My daughter got into a prestigious summer music school on the 3rd attempt; she also practices several hours a day. Persistence is key.
Awesome job & its awesome they spoke out for themselves they werent forced...get real people!!!
Such a beautiful mama!💙 After carrying and giving birth to 10 kids! Amazing!!
Beautiful family! What talent! Good job to the parents for doing such an amazing job! I need their autographs. 😂
How is it possible for a woman to have 10 children and look like that. She is amazing.
That family is wonderful...parents teaching children to work hard and nurture their talents is wonderful. Too many children quit music lessons not because they don't love the music but because they don't like the work. These parents know when to push and when to let them be. I think they are on the right track to becoming well rounded, hard working young adults.
Some people envy I think. These kids are well trained, well schooled, have been taught the word of God, both parents are very supportive. I love them. They will do great things. Instead of hanging out with the wrong crowd they are doing something with their lives. Kudos ❤

The ones who don't understand are the ones who don't have a kid who is consumed by music and who needs very expensive lessons and instruments. To be sure, the parents were involved at the beginning, but any musician that reaches the level that these children have only do so because they are internally motivated.

or being forced to by abusive parents - feel sorry for these kids. No way a family of 12 kids are all going to want to be musicians, there is something very sinister going on with this family dynamic.
@dwfaught
10 ай бұрын
@@traylong Nope. The kids would never reach the level they have unless something internal is driving them. The younger children have been constantly exposed to music by the older children and are naturally drawn to it (the Suzuki method is powerful precisely because it relies on kids being motivated by seeing other kids play well). It's not OK to say that something sinister is going on unless you have personally witnessed it. I have personally seen how a family into music produces many fine musicians and there is nothing evil about it. Would you say the same about a family of athletes who excel (the Williams sisters? the Mannings?). Is it that this family is religious that is raising your hackles?
@traylong

I would say the same thing for athletic, or dance /theatre parents who are living vicariously through their children's activities. In Canada we call them Hockey parents. And yes it is a form of abuse in some cases. Religious or not, it is not good parenting.

How incredibly special this family is!
What a wonderul gift! I too am a musician and I understand the desire to first glorify God with what He has given me and to spread joy to those around me! I am sorry that many feel they are being forced into this. I am remembering a document on music that my pastor, who was my pastor when I was younger, gave me that gave a brief and insightful look at music. The one statement that stood out to me was this: "Music is a necessary luxury." I agree. Like this family, Music is my passion. And I thank God for those who not only have this gift, but choose to use it for God's glory and for the good of those around them.
Love this family! :)

I certainly hope that the family really enjoys performing and playing their instruments! We were a musical family but our dad would force it upon us for money and fame, both of which never went far. But these kids actually seem to enjoy what they’re doing. God bless them!
Such a sweet family!
I understand that the kids enjoy music and aren’t forced to practice but I do wonder if there was ever a chance for them to do otherwise. It seems like they grow up surrounded by it and it’s pretty much expected for them to join in. As a kid you don’t want to disappoint your parents and you want your older siblings to like you so of course every new kid in the family picks up music too. Was there ever a point of them being exposed to other educational/occupational fields? I also feel so bad for the oldest son. They talk so much about Juilliard and how it’s the best school and the oldest is always a after thought of “oh he goes to the Manhattan school of music” and everyone else is still only aiming for Juilliard. And quitting your job and relying on social media to fund your family is so wild. Media attention never lasts a lifetime.
They’re so wonderful! Pearl has a great DITL at Juilliard, highly recommended! ❤

So flipping amazing this family! And to the kids that didn’t get into the school they wanted…it means something better is coming! Believe it! Best to all!
Despite whatever rose-colored glasses show at the end of day the children are financially supporting this family whether it be via busking or social media. And we all know twelve children doing the exact same hobby isn’t a natural development as beautiful as their music may be. I just hope this ends well for the children. Sigh.
Asking string players to guess the note A is laughable. That's literally the note they tune to.

I ❤ ❤️you Guys 🎉🎉 Good luck with your musical carreers ❤️❤️
While I fully believe these kids genuinely have these musical goals now it is not typical for all members of a family to have the one same passion without any influence, especially with 10 kids. 🤔 which makes me think that these kids were likely influenced from a young age to have this be their life goal. It’s unfortunate that it puts them in a place to compete with one another for their dreams 🥺 They all seem extremely talented and I am sure that music is a wonderful outlet for them at this point in their lives, I really wish all the best for these kids and I hope they are all happy 🥹
Wow u are great
It reminds me of the Von Trapp family but with musical instruments
great piece!! I am a follower on Facebook and Amber and Marc are the most chill parents, just wanting their kids to succeed!
I've attended many performances at Juilliard, but never got to audition(I was very sick ), so I missed my chance. This is a really talented family, even the dad. I could see him making a lot of money as a graphic designer. I wish them all the best.
I just hope that their music is something that’s encouraged upon them versus mandatory or forced but from everything I’ve seen watching the channel. It seems like the children love it and especially watching the older children. I think the kids just think that that’s what they want to do because they wanna be like their older siblings, and then they find a passion in it
Music will make you happy and creating it, when you’re at a state, will make you happier. Critical people can not be pleased no matter what and will always be there. They can refrain from practicing love. The only medicine is to ignore and carry on your prosperity.
Marc, so glad you guys are following your dreams. But I must say, I miss you guys at Balboa. Best of luck to the whole family 😀

real life von trapps!
I think its awesome, I'm one of twelve children and we all either sing or play instruments...
What happened to moms eyes ? They went from big to tiny if you compare with the couple photography.
*Imagine if one of the kids does not want to play, like one of the more recent kids does not want to start playing with them, what will happen then is something I do not think they would be very pleased with at all. Even if the kid, kids, has every right to not want to participate.*
Praise and glory to God!
Artists & Musicians have had to hustle to make their living since the beginning of time. This is one of the biggest hurdles of sustaining a creative, happy existence. Performing publicly is another hurdle. For those who criticize those wonderful parents consider what they themselves are sacrificing to provide the best possible opportunities for their children. Bravo, I say!
