Musical Prodigy: Autistic kid blows our mind with his guitar

Dalton is autistic, but he can play a guitar perfect. He is a musical prodigy, proving kids with special needs can be very talented. Let us know what you think of Dalton's playing. He also brought me a Reeses pie and the movie Swingers for my birthday. Such an awesome kid.

Aww he is amazing. I am an autistic woman who has just bought an electric guitar 🎸 and I want to learn how to play. I also have an autistic 8 year old son and my husband is autistic too. I love singing and my husband plays guitar. I hope I can play as good as this kid. Tell him that it was beautiful and amazing and that he has done so well to play the guitar. From Rosie. Xxxx

So many people with autism have amazing musical talent. I have a Master’s Degree in Music Multimedia Technology. My sixteen-year-old autistic son has perfect musical pitch. I found this out when he was about five years old. I was plunking around on the piano and teaching him the names of the notes and pitches. When I asked him to name them back for me he did so while also humming each note as well. I was both amazed and also envious at the same time because I do not have this gift. Now I can play cluster chords (multiple notes at the same time) and he can name each pitch correctly. Contrary to popular belief, you cannot learn to have perfect pitch. You either have the talent or you don’t. He also remembers everything and has an eidetic memory. He can recount, with remarkable accuracy, things that happened when he was as young as three-years-old! Best of all he is the most wonderful, loving and happy child...and the absolute joy of my life!! 😊

My 11 year old autistic daughter wants to learn how to play electric guitar. It is so hard finding a teacher who is willing to teach her. The minute you tell any music teacher in my area "My child has autism", their whole tone changes. So sad. Wish I could find a teacher for her.

DON"T HATE ON ME PLS JUST AN OPINION I don't want to sound like a hater but this is just my take (if I am wrong or if you disagree feel free to ignore this comment). I am getting the feeling that Dalton is not actually autistic, nor a prodigy. Two reasons why I say so. - First (speaking as a musician): Wonderwall by Oasis is looked at as the ultimate "meme" song and/or Rick-Roll that one can play on the guitar - the joke is that a guy brings a guitar to a party, everybody says "wow, what's he gonna play" and as soon as they see him place the capo on the second fret, the musicians in the crowd roll their eyes - this is because it is SUCH an easy song to play that people learn in order to impress non-musicians. To the point that musicians for the most part can't stand the song because it is a cliche that every new guitar player learns and immediately thinks they are a master guitar player. Second: If he is a prodigy, one would think that Dalton would play something complex. Now possibly, Dalton just loves Wonderwall so much and he REALLY does have somewhat of a fixation on the song. But this song choice is what rubs me the wrong way with this video. If he is faking autism in order to get clout by claiming the "prodigy" title, then yikerz. I guess in total, I have no idea why I'm even worrying about writing this comment lol. Doesn't really matter.
