Musical treat for traditional London Bus fans!
We start with a rare opportunity to enjoy an ‘out of service’ run along Embankment from Trafalgar Square back to the Tower aboard deliciously musical AEC Routemaster former Green Line coach RCL2226 (CUV 226C), whilst on loan to Londonder Buses for the weekend.
We then operate a full journey from Tower Hill to Trafalgar Square in service, turning heads and with so many passers-by (and happy passengers) enjoying the sight and sound of this lovely 59-year old bus, which was restored to a red/gold interpretation of its original up-market Green Line livery, without advertising posters.
With original-style AEC engine and transmission, low-gear action sounds fantastic!
