Kirsti B.B. (before Broadway) was amazing. Kirsti A.B. is mind blowing. That run on Kinky Boots did so much for her control and confidence to just let go in front of everyone.

@@thinkingoutloud7851 I read somewhere that when she went to Broadway she hired a vocal coach, something she had not had before, to help her while doing "Kinky Boots". It really has helped her grow in so many ways!

If you like the idea of Pentatonix with a choir, and seeing as it's moving into the holiday season, I would highly suggest their version of "O Come All Ye Faithful". I promise you, you will NOT be disappointed and it's to this day my favorite Christmas song they've done

I was going to suggest the same thing. Oh Come All Ye Faithful is so epic with background choir plus the diversity of their own spin on a classic. They can call it 'their own' and I think this song should be sung like this for all time! Love it! If you haven't heard the recording of Jolene with Dolly Parton, it is also Epic. They won a Grammy on it! Also for a song that has no lyrics and PTX has no instruments take a listen to Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairies!

Thanks you for doing this reaction. It was Kirstie's moment and she did herself proud. Also glad you commented on Matt as he's become such a solid part of this group. I love how they are so supportive of each other and the smiles between Scott and Kirstin were pretty obvious but there was also an admiring smile from Matt to Kirstin. And again Kevin providing the full drum kit. I can't leave Mitch out because he was so solid with his part too, and we get to enjoy something really special.

It's Tuesday! Yes! I am loving the Kirstin that Kirstin is expressing in the past year or so! Her group seem to be all in for her to show her stuff! That's what I LOVE about PTX. It isn't all about Scott or Mitch. I feel she let them shine early on because she was shyer and felt like they had more to offer as a lead. She has expressed how much she loves each of her friend's voices. She sounds so more confident lately! I'm all for it! Thank you for your reaction! Please respond to The Prayer (the one they did on AGT with Victory Brinker or their official video which is breathtaking)!

THANK you for pointing out Matt's bass in this. everyone always points out Kirstie's amazing vocals (which of course they should because damn, she kills it) but Matt's bass is what also stood out to me as just top tier in this performance. my ear kept going to his bass as well. it had such a clear and smooth tone and I felt it in my chest the entire time. one of my favorite Matt and Kirstie performances, for sure. great reaction! 😃

You should really do all their performances from The Sing Off. It really shows their growth and change since that time. What made them amazing on The Sing Off was the fact that they had only been a group of five for a few days before they had to audition. Scott, Kirstin and Mitch all went to school together and had wanted to do The Sing Off but didn't have the depth they needed. One of them had seen Kevin beatboxing while playing his cello, on KZread and they contacted him to see if he would be interested and he was. And then someone knew Avi and they thought that would round out the group. One of the things that the judges on TSO always mentioned about the group was how much larger than a group of five, they sounded. They sounded so full and like there was an orchestra or choir behind them. Mitch of course, was always mentioned for his perfect, "voice of a generation" performances. Avi and Kevin really pulled the group over the top. Highlights, besides The Dog Days Are Over, which you have already reviewed, Steppenwolf's Born To Be Wild, Marvin Gaye's Get It On, The Buggles Video Killed the Radio Star. You could pick any of them and you wouldn't be disappointed.

I have been waiting for you to do this video, and it was worth the wait! You nailed the breakdown (As Usual) and I cant wait for the next one!

Thank you for this review wonderful as always and Kirstie was outstanding in this performance. If you could review the new releases from Christmas album Evergreen please please The Prayer is one of their best ever!

Yes! I’ve been trying to figure out who it reminded me of - Loving You. Thank you!

Pulling back the mike on high notes is something I would do because I'm not confident enough to be sure I would hit the note right on target without having to run up or down a little. I was taught if anything, you should aim higher because a slight drop into the note is less noticeable than starting a little flat.

O Come All Ye Faithful has a choir and it is the best version of this Christmas hymn I have ever head.

Missed this yesterday, 36th anniversary so my wife & I were off doing other things! PTX still smash it!!

I was so hoping the prayer would have been better but I. Love it!!! The choir was a contracted group.

Pentatonix has also performed with full orchestras. 😊

I believe this was part of a July 4th show on PBS.

You have to keep Kirstin's musical theatre background in mind. She has to be able to do everything without playing with the microphone.

Damn. Good reaction. May I recommend Mad World for a great Matt, and going back to Avi, Gold. Two of my favorites.

i'm pretty sure that choir was from RENT the musical.

If you listen to other videos in the past few years, Kirstie has developed her vibrato so much, she's practically a different singer. If you have to focus on one video... Amazing Grace. Kirstie from three or four years ago wouldn't have used that delivery. Kirstie from five plus years ago probably couldn't have.
