Saw them last night in Atlanta. My wife said she had never seen me dance this much (in the aisle) in forty years. Yep, we are 72 and they are the best band I've seen and heard in the last couple of years. They moved me the same way they moved David here. I'm a drummer and I could NOT keep myself from moving, jumping and falling in love this these guys and their music. Ten stars on every musical level.

Their other stuff is definitely worth a listen-The Weather (Acoustic & Gospel Reprise) has some more great piano from Clyde that I’m sure you’ll enjoy, plus Gracie’s usual crazy vocals.

Lawrence started out as a duo, but they are a full band now, with all the members being equal, which is great. They are growing in popularity, and are now signed with Jon Bellion's record label, which is a massive step forward for the band. Some of the behind the scenes videos on the channel are a great insight into how the band works.

I have waited so long for a pro to react to this. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t imagining things. I discovered it about 4 months ago. It transcended into something that actually changed my life. Not to mention, it’s just an explosive piece of music. Yes, she’s an “adorable beast,” right now in my top 5 female singers (maybe ever), but he’s also so good, in a smart, underdog Randy Newman sort of way. The arrangement, the vocals, the joy. I try to listen to it once a day (sometimes 10). It’s just magic fairy dust.

I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed your reaction. I happened upon this song about two months ago and I have yet to make it through it without bursting into tears of catharsis, joy, longing, empathy, amazement, etc. I am a singer/musician/voice teacher and I have been aching to experience this song with someone who enjoys brilliance in the details as well. (But let me tell you, my casual riffing along was nowhere NEAR your amazing piano stylings. The way you picked up that piano riff on the first shot? Whooo!) I listen to this song now before every performance, audition and grant writing slog to remind myself that this business is hard even if you are Lawrence and are seemingly the most talented humans around but that we are all in this together; that making art is about joy and community, and to inspire me to keep my heart open and present in my work. Thank you for your open heart, wonderful skill and extremely satisfying reaction. We were all grooving out with you, around the world.

I listen and react to music the way you do - which is why almost no one like to listen to music with me :-). Got to meet Gracie and Clyde before their show at the Stone Pony - your assessment of Gracie is spot on - when asked what her hobby was or what she does in her free time, she said "well....music!". I agree, the moment I heard this band about a week ago for the first time I got spider sense tingles. The WOW!! factor as I call it. My name is Ratman Willy G and I have been in the music biz as a DJ, singer, and musician for over 40 years. It is not often that I have an artist or song just utterly capture me. I search for Artists and bands of all genres that are special. Music for me is and always has been a passion! There is alot of filler music and artists out there that are decent and make good music but there are few that are really special. I would like to think that I have a keen sense that allows me to discover and feel those special artists. I Love this band!! Some of my top female vocalists of all time are Dion Warwick, Karen Carpenter, Mandy Moore, Bianca Ryan who when she won America's Got Talent at age 11 was one of the most amazing vocalists I had ever in my life heard. Some of my top male artists are Frank Sinatra, Mel Torme, Bobby Darrin, and Tony Bennet. I really like what you're doing here. Keep up the good work!! , Ratman Willy G. of DJ Brassfactor Music.

thanks for this review! my college kid introduced me to Lawrence last year. Gracie & Clyde are just so young and fresh and passionate about their music. saw them at the Stone Pony. I keep watching their wins, songs picked up & used in commercials, tours in Europe. Their energy is addictive. I could watch them play this song forever. Don’t lose sight ! 😊

I just stumbled onto the band Lawrence 2 days ago, and I think this is such a great song and wonderful arrangement - and I love hearing your analysis and thoughts on this. Turns out that they are playing in my local town in 2 weeks - I'm so stoked for the show! I also did a bit of poking around your videos, I like your reaction of Snarky Puppy's Lingus too.

I met Gracie in the ladies room at the World Cafe Live , in Philly (2016) after their first set. I told her that she and her brother Are so talented and that they were going to be famous one day. She was crying and nervous. I gave her a hug and a kiss and told her to never change! We are friends, she told me that she is so happy that she met me. They are very close and live with their parents. We saw them at the Rockwood too. Of course I bought their cd and helped sponsor their second . ❤️ “Don’t loose Sight” has a great message and of course Lawrence delivers it with perfection!! Congratulations to all is these talented artists!! (Gracie Lawrence Clyde Lawrence Sam Askin Sumner Becker Jordan Cohen Michael Karsh Jonny Koh Marc Langer ).Their star is shining brightly!! I’m so thrilled for them!!! 😘😘😘😘😘

You need to seriously check out the rest of Lawrence's catalog, David! If you haven't heard the rest of their songs, you are MISSING OUT! And FOMO is NOT something you want to be suffering with when it comes to Lawrence! Check out "The Weather" (Acoustic & Gospel Reprise), as mentioned, but also their songs "Casualty", "Probably Up", "Quarantined With You", "The Heartburn Song", "Shot", "Misty Morning", "So Damn Fast" and their first one that got me onto them, "Do You Wanna Do Nothing With Me"! They absolutely SLAY every tune they do! And when you hear the name Lawrence, realize that it's not just Clyde & Gracie, but the full 9-piece band, all of them ON POINT! And they're only bound to get better from here...Check out their albums "Breakfast", "Living Room" and "Hotel TV", too!
