I also thought Floor wasn't loud enough but I loved it anyway, What I like most is the fact that Floor is playing around and testing so many different ways to use social media and KZread especially since it wasn't her thing before and now she becomes more and more comfortable with all sides of it. I don't think it's so much a volume issue, as a lack of reverb on her. Now, Floor's voice doesn't need reverb, but this song does. All in all the mix is very "flat". I'd love to get the studios for this to "play with".

I've heard the song on different devices. It's awesome, but i would prefer a raised up volume of the vocal track in the mix. The music feels as double as loud compared to the vocal track.

I’m just glad she does what she can for the fans during the pandemic. This is recorded in her and Hannes basement studio at home. It’s Floors first attempt at editing and it’s for her daughter Freja who loves Frozen.

Floor did this because Frozen is her 3 1/2 year old daughter Freja's favourite film and she is always singing this song about the house.

I just love the way she underpowered it to make it so much more pleasing on the ear. As for the mixing, while I agree to a point, I like the fact its not over mixed to the point where it loses its live personal performance feel.

Dude, my daughter loves this cover so much! She’s been asking me for forever to play her a rock n roll version of Let It Go. Happy four year old :)

When I first saw this, I also thought that the mix sounded a bit odd, but the more I listen to it, I think that her version actually got something right that the original missed. The lyrics are what Elsa is expressing out loud, but in Floor’s version the music is what she is feeling inside but can’t express in words.

Great as usual! As to the mix, it may have been intentionally done to emphasize the rock aspect as further differentiation from the original, IMO.

As a hardcore fan I agree but on the other hand her life and that of her husband is so immersed with professional music making... pity they didn't notice. Guess she will consider this for the next one. Just use wetransfer to send the raw tracks to her fiends or 'brothers' to do the mix or check one extra time!

I totally said it....

I keep reading comments about how quiet it is on her voice. I think this is a track issue possibly. I couldn't figure out what I might be missing because it sounded fine to me, then my cat had a running fit through the house that included zipping behind my computer and pulling loose a couple of audio cables. Well, I didn't notice anything until I was listening to some HU and watching a movie that something wasn't right. Found that my Center channel was completely unplugged and had dropped to the floor and I didn't bother to check or plug it back in because it wasn't just hanging there partially plugged in like the others that had been pulled loose. Once I plugged that back in, everything sounded fine again. I wonder if this has a ".1" in it that is screwing things up for people? i.e. 5.1, 7.1, etc.

I agree with the mixing. Everything seems to be heavily compressed, so it's probably done in the mastering phase. It's not bad, but it could have been so much better with small changes.

Shameless request to react to the band that led me to JINJER (who they toured with last year) after I saw them live opening for EPICA in 2016. I'm talking about The Agonist. Formerly fronted by Alyssa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy), currently led by Vicky Psarakis and described variously as exteme metal, melodic death metal, deathcore, etc. A lot of folks would probably direct you to the opening track from their recent Orphans album, "In Vertigo", but I'd argue that "The Gift of Silence", while less intense, is a better showcase of their artistic diversity and technical talent. Love the arrangement... I'm one of the few on Earth who has not seen the movie as the closest we get to Disney is Star Wars. So, the lyrics were actually new to me and I liked the message. I was surprised by the mix - as you said the intrumental track is overpowering her... In order to hear Floor, I have to jack the volume way up, which is managable when it is just the video, but when it is a reaction, then the reactor(s) are blasting and none of you have compensated at your end...

Totally agree... I was disappointed too. The performance is good but the mixing is simply said... bad! The experience could be so much better. Imho the same applies to the mixing of most of the albums. It’s the main reason why people say that the live performances sound better than the albums. + sadly the surround mixes sound even worse. :/ Don’t get me wrong... I’m a big fan, just let down about most of the mixing.

You've got the video volume down too low compared to your voice.

Hey DJ! Another solid reaction. I will admit this wasn't great for me. I found myself cringing at parts, and from your facial expressions, I feel you were in the same space. The mix may have really affected what I was hearing, but the instrumental side of it was solid in my view. I would've maybe given a bit more effect in the bridge, or perhaps dueling guitars, just something to add flavor there. Her voice is sexy (maybe sassy is better), and at times just didn't fit. Again, the mix may have taken away from what I was hearing, but that's the bulk of what I have to go on. I read somewhere this was a performance based on her kid's love for Frozen, and mad respect to do this for her kid. I'd like to hear more of her work, and will have to look it up. Something happened to your sound at about 1:50 into your video - your voice continues to sound normal but the rest of her video sounds muffled. There is a big difference between the 1st 3 or 4 seconds and the sound after your 1st comment

There are more people who complain about the mixing. The instrumentals should be too loud.

Terrible mix on the performance, and your voice much too loud.

This song is not good enough for Floor. The melody is a bit all over the place and the poetry is poor. I'm happy that she recorded this for her little girl, but it should not be out here.
