Every week I’m interviewing fascinating people in our community, nation and around the world.
Donny Osmond began his career in show business when he was 5 years old. He has been a singer, actor, triple-threat television series host (talk show, game show, variety show), best-selling author, commercial spokesman, motivational speaker and even a racecar driver.
Donny has sold over 100 million albums and is currently headlining a solo residency at Harrah’s in Las Vegas. It’s been voted Best New Show and Best Performer by the public in the Best of Las Vegas honors from The Las Vegas Review Journal.
Donny was kind enough to chat with me and I asked him the following questions:
Can you tell me about your Las Vegas show?
You and my friend Drew Barrymore were both famous when you were my age. What was that like?
What’s the main thing you’ve learned over all your years in show business?
How have you remained true to your values while being super famous?

Nate, you will LOVE this! Donnie was on TV one day, when my daughter was about Emmy's age & I told her, See that guy? That is Donnie Osmond. He was my heartthrob when I was about 15. We had school desks where you could lift the top up & put all your things inside the desk. I had Donnie's picture inside my desk top, so every time I opened my desk, there he was. My daughter looked at him & she said, "Mom. That guy is weird. But at least he's not that REALLY weird Osmond, the one named OZZIE!"🤣

Hello @Emmy. I live in Norway, norwegian. I am 61 years. I watch your fathers channel and news. Saw you with Drew just now. You look just like Drew 😊 my story about Donny : I was 12 years and fell in love with him when I got a big poster of him in a magazine. I hand it on my wall and collected all photos i could find of him. I loved to hear him sing " Puppy love" and other songs with his sister. He looked so handsome back then , but he s still very good looking. He aged well 😂 I am about his age I think. I never forget that room of mine where Donny was up on my wall. Emmy, please dont grove up too quickly. Be a child as long as possible. Your father is a good journalist and so are you. Donny is very nice. Send my best regards to him, your father and Drew. Great interview Emmy! I am about Donny’s age and grew up, listening to him and even crushing on him when I was a teenager. All the teenage girls used to wear purple socks because he was known for wearing purple socks I even had a poster of him on my bedroom wall-
