Fun Fact........It was mentioned about about the Jagger/Bowie cover version of 'Dancin' in the Streets' being now better known that the origional, but i guess the beat known covers that are not known as covers would be two early Elvis songs that most people would see very much as Elvis songs in 'Blue Moon of Kentucky' and 'Blue Suade Shoes', that where earlier hits and sung by the guys who wrote them in Bill Monroe and Carl Perkins.
The Y in Mercury is a vowel, so by not including it in the question they made it wrong.

Three chances from.now.on due to.pandemics.
How come the two losing first-time pairs from the previous episode didn't return for this one? Was there some break in filming due to COVID and they couldn't come back for some reason?

You are correct. When filming first resumed, each pair had to be from the same household.
