Exactly, I've felt the same, but my perception of it was discarded by other Dears who didn't agree that there was sadness in it. Some people are just so afraid of being confronted with sadness that they avoid it. But this sadness is deep and real and beautiful. It needs to be acknowledged otherwise we are just all ignoring his feelings and his doubts, his sharing, his humanness.

Yes, it was David Foster. Dimash temporarily moved to L.A. earlier this year after completing his doctoral studies and dissertation in music. His move was for the purpose of attending the L.A. campus of the New York School of Fine Arts majoring in film directing. He met with quite a few well know music movers and shakers. He wants to make it in the American industry and win a Grammy. I hope he does not compromise himself in achieving that goal as it is a highly corrupt industry and he is far superior to any American musician, though I do greatly admire the music of Avi Kaplan. His beloved Papa/Paternal Grandfather who along with his grandmother raised him to age 10 (A Kazak tradition) passed shortly after this video was released. He has a tender heart, kind, compassionate, giving and merciful heart.

It's great to see you back reacting to Dimash. Yes that was David Foster at the end from a couple of months ago when Dimash, David Foster and Walter Afanasieff were having lunch at the Beverly Hills Polo Lounge. Dimash was living in Los Angeles until the death of his grandfather back in June when he flew back to Kazakhstan for the funeral. He has a house in LA now so I'm sure he will be heading back there shortly now the official mourning period is up.

Yes, that is David Foster. Dimash is living in L.A. work with Walter Afanasieff and David Foster! I can't wait to see the results!!

Yes, that was David Foster. He met with Foster together with that Russian guy in LA around 2 or 3 months ago. By the way, Dimash was given a scholarship by his government for a one year training at the New York Film Academy in LA.

Dimash actually gave up his scholarship to give someone else from KZ the opportunity to attend the film school.

The first time I watched this, because there was so much going on (movies and reading captions) I didn't fully realize how stunning the song was. Now I like to listen to it without watching the video so I can concentrate fully on the music. Oh, and yes, that was David Foster. Before his grandfather died and while he was in L.A. for a few months, he was apparently working with a few different music producers on some new music. I expert he'll go back to L.A. and continue.
