This type of architecture originated from Asian culture and nature (mostly woodland Japanese area) these types of house are less common now but you can still find them in more low-key more nature ridden areas of Japan, you can find this style of architecture in the movie “my neighbor totoro” (on HBO max).

This is called Kawadoko. It is served from spring to summer at restaurants in Kyoto(Japan). We can enjoy your meal while enjoying the coolness of the river in the hot season. I hope you come to see it too. ✨💕
