Depression is something that arises mostly in the western culture, because of its materialistically driven Life goals and mindset that's getting imbued into the minds of children from an early age. And when they fail in getting all those goals ticked, they develop depression and disappointment in Life. Please, don't fall into that trap 🙏❤️ What separates us from the animals is our level of Consciousness. Due to that, our potential goes way beyond seeking mere survival and comfort (find a job, secure food, get better salary, buy house, find wife/husband, have kids etc.). Our Consciousness allows us to go beyond survival and we can pursue non-mateial goals i.e. decide to improve our reactive patterns (Karma) by Consciously working on it in our everyday's Life decisions. Life is an absolutely amazing opportunity to appreciate, learn and evolve. Due to having that higher level of Consciousness, we're 100% in control of how we feel. Emotions do not happen to us, they arise within us and we can consciously decide to start changing the already memorized reactive patterns of thinking and feeling, and start improving them bit by bit. If you have a strong analytical mind, let me know and I can give you compelling links to see for yourself if it resonates with you. I'm summary: the modern science is constantly finding evidence that space-time is not fundamental and the old Newtonian notion that the Universe is deterministic and matter is fundamental are breaking apart under the new evidence and discoveries, so if you have an analytical mind, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
