Khurshid Anwar was also a brilliant student at Government College, Lahore, the renowned seat of learning at that time. Having topped in the master's degree in Philosophy in (1935), he appeared in the examination for Indian Civil Service (ICS) but due to his political and anti-British Raj activities, the British colonial masters did not like his activities. He was also absent from the prize-distribution ceremony of the Punjab University held to honour the students with distinctions. When his name was called to receive the Gold Medal in Philosophy, nobody turned up. The British Chancellor of the University who was awarding medals remarked that the student having forgotten to receive the medal, is a true philosopher.

A good documentary, but few questions: 1.why have you not mentioned the names of the performing actors of the songs, new generation would not know the actor that who was he, he was santosh or Darpan. 2.While giving details of film Chingari you have the name of Santosh while in the poster of the movie Darpan is shown. 3. You should have given a little sound clip from Raag mala a real great work of Khuwaja Sahib.

بھٹو صاحب کی وزارت عظمیٰ کے ابتدائی دنوں میں ہمارے گھر کے چند قدموں کے فاصلے پر واقع اوپن ایر تھیٹر نفیس سنیما واقع تھا، اور ہمارے بچپن کا زمانہ، عید کے دن کوئی فلم ریلیز ہوئی تھی جسے فلاپ ہوجانے پر دوسرے دن سنیما سے اتار کر فلم چنگاری لگائی گئی تھی، والدین کے ہمراہ یہ فلم دیکھنے کا موقع ملا اور اس کے ایک گیت کلی کلی منڈلائے بھنورا ہمیں بہت پسند آیا تھا، جو آج بھی پسند ھے، خاص کر گیت کے بیچ میں جو میوزک پیس ہیں دل کو چھو لیتے ہیں، ﷲ ﷲ، کیسے انمول و نایاب لوگ تھے جو خاک بسر ہوگئے.

یہ گانا فلم کوئل ۱۹۵۹ کا جو آپ نےدکھایاتھا اس دھن کو خواجہ خُرشید انوار صاحب نے سب سےپہلے ۱۹۵۲میں فلم نیلم پری ۱۹۵۲ کے لئے ٹائیٹل سونگ کے لیے بنائ تھی گانے کے بول تھے ہیرے موتی جڑے رہیں شوبھاتیری بنی رھے نیل دیش کی رانی نیلم رانی گانے کو لکھاتھا حسرت جےپوری (اقبال)نے اور فلم کوُڈائیرکٹ کیا تھادھیرو بھائ ڈیسائ نے-

تنویر اقبال۔۔۔بہت اچھی کاوش ہے۔۔۔پاکستان کا مستقبل تو دگر گوں ہے۔۔۔لیکن ماضی کئی حوالوں سے درخشاں ہے۔۔۔مثلا کرکٹ ہاکی اور فلمی صنعت۔۔۔۔ اس کام کو جاری رکھیں۔۔۔بلکہ کچھ ایسا سوچیں کہ آج کل کے بےھنگم گانوں سے ہٹ کر نوجوان ان خوبصورت فنکاروں سے روشناس ہوں اور ان کے نقش قدم پر چل کر خود کو بہتر کریں۔۔۔

ایک نایاب گانا فلم ممتاز کا ہے جسے نسیم بیگم نے گایا ہے جس کے بول جو یاد ہیں "چھن چھن چھناچھن" ہیں۔ اگر آپکے پاس ہے تو اپلوڈ کر کے شکریہ کا موقع فراہم کیجئے۔ بیحد شکر گزار ہوں گا۔ چلیل ملک

خرشید انور کی موسیقی ہر کسی کی سمجھ سے بالاتر تھی

KA was a fine composer no doubt, but the Gr8 Naushad never rated him [ As u have lied ] as the best of the sub-continent. I have gone thru all the memoirs of Naushad in monthly SHAMA. He did praise KA while praising others, his contemporaries n juniors. Among his seniors he praised profusely AB, KHEMCHAND, n BORAL n among contemporaries CR, SJ, SDB, MM, OPN, Roshan, JD, VD, etc, etc; 4 MM hIs tribute was in the superlative degree. Among juniors he spoke highly of LP, KA n RDB. So kindly b realistic n dont over-rate a composer [Despite his brilliant musical score in films like Intezar, koel, ghungat, Heer Ranjha ] flopped miserably in films like Shirin farhad n Salam e mohabat.

Sir, I highly respect your opinion regarding Naushad's comments about Khawaja Sahib which I have included in the programme In fact, this is neither my personal opinion nor have I tried to exaggerate on behalf of Nishad Sahab by taking his name. In my research, this came to my attention, so I included this comment of Naushad Sahib in my program. In fact, such comments are meant to honor other artists and have nothing to do with reality. If Lata Mangeshkar had said that the voice of God is heard in Mehdi Hasan's song, then it does not mean exactly what is evident from these words. Anyway Thakns for listening so minutely and sending valuable comments.
