because then it's just a tablet, tf? the idea of this device is a speaker that doubles as an art frame, it's literally in the product name. You want a screen that displays photos from your phone then that's an entirely separate product category that already exists.

I think it’s not meant to be digital display, more as “hidden” features of your furniture. To focus on showing your house personality. Cause you would want to install several frames instead of 1 for optimum sound quality based on positioning, rooms and so on. Would be v cool in cafe setting & big houses

These speakers are for a surround sound system. a subwoofer will do the bass work. Since bass consumes a lot of energy, you need to constantly take out and charge something that runs on batteries. You can use many speakers by telling their locations through the Dolby Atmos system. Think about it, the speaker is always sleeping. You are watching a movie and in a scene, someone is speaking from that exact spot. At that moment, it activates and gives the sound, then it goes back to sleep. In this way, you can use its battery for a very long time.

Samsung is already well known for their Frame TVs. By putting the word “Frame” in the name of this product, it should be a scaled down version of a Frame TV focused on music playback and showing art using the same tech as the Frame TVs. That is a compelling idea. Seeing at the very end of the video that you have to print photos for it was very surprising. So it is just a panel speaker like IKEA sells but without Sonos and it lets you print a photo for it…..ok.

You understand the reason the Frame TVs show images digitally is because its a TV, right? The purpose of this is to be a speaker that does not look like tech. Making it a screen ruins that effect. Unless it was color e-ink, that could be cool and it wouldn't emit light...

The whole time I thought “I need this right now!” Until I realized that it wasn’t displaying album art of the playing music but instead, a printed photo… 😑 what a missed opportunity Samsung! You already calling it Frame!

The images aren't in motion. And the sound will be continuous if we want it. We dont stop specifically for a static image and immerse in music looking at it. For whom does samsung built this product ?????

I’d love this - I feel overstimulated with screens and just having a non-intrusive speaker that can display a photo that melds with the rest of the home decor would be lovely. But I can see why people expected something else - everyone is used to associating something smart with a display to be a screen. Maybe that’ll be the next move for Samsung

I watched this expecting a thin vertical vynil disc player. No need of another Bluetooth speaker, we already have all kind of shapes. The only addition might be no power cable. Ikea x Sonos already have a wall frame with cable for half the prize and at Unisk you can buy customized frames

For some reason, every time it is on a wall, it has a cable. You can see it in the video (1:32) and more clearly in the official website.

Step 1: Print the picture from your galaxy to a physical printer using ink and paper Step 2: Take the printed picture and put it in the music frame
