Good narrative, Miland. You have not sugar coated the happenings, stated them as they happened. It is not unknown that Rafi Sahib had endured a lot of ungratefulness during his career. A lot of MDs who have attained fame with his help, had discarded him during the 70's. I could feel the pain he must have gone through during this period. But he never complained, or carried an ill-will towards them. I draw inspiration from his high moral character and belief in The Almighty that gave him this courage. Zindabad, Rafi Sahib!

Right sir. It was Laxmi Pyare duo, who gave the best support to rafi ji and never left his talent till the end. Rest all of the music directors were just taking advantage of time and situation

Khayyam male voice best songs are jaane kya dhoonth thi, Shaghun songs, kahin ek massom nazuk and mukesh's two songs in Kabhie Kabhie, Tera hijr mera naseeb hai (a gem) by Gabban Mirza, Noorie - Nitin Mukesh.. to name a few - The best are Rafi sahab's private ghazals with Khayyam - I listen to them almost every day - Each ghazal brought different style, texture, emotion in Rafi sahab's voice.

Sir you are 200 percent correct without Rafi sahab we can't imagine complete circle of film music and in that reason khayam don't get achieved such success like s jaikishan SD Burman Rd LP etc and clearly his music not so much pleasent

Khayyam did not use Rafi sahab in Trishul, Kabhie Kabhie and Noorie purely because of "Chopra" family's involvement in these three films . Had Kabhie Khabie songs been sung by Rafi Sahab it would have been a different level
