No idea, it’s been so long since i dug out my Wii, but at *least* a couple hundred, probably around 200, 250 maybe

The lyrics are in latin and basically talk about how the singer is recognized as a hero who saved his world, but he is surprised to be surrounded by so many other legendary warriors who saved so many other worlds, and destroyed so many others, some are inspiring, some are scary, some are friends, and others are sworn enemies, and yet they are all there, some of them fighting by his side, and that it is when they fight that they shine brightest. Perfect for the greatest crossover game series.

The composer for this game actually got the legendary Nobuo Uematsu (OG Final Fantasy composer) to compose this specific theme!! The main theme!! It's both a humble gesture and sign of utter respect, and the theme speaks for itself!!

Fun fact: The lyrics are in Latin and the song simply improves when you hear it with the lyrics. They really cover the theme of the game very well.

The funny thing is that nobody really expected this song. I feel like everyone who booted up Brawl for the first time had to sit down and just experience this song for a bit before getting to the gameplay.

@@365DaysOfCristianIt’s unfortunate that they said he was watching the remake’s version but because it was the version with the gameplay he was so distracted with the visuals that he didn’t really react to the song itself and so watched another version as his reaction.

So many memories of this game. 10/10

This is why video game music deserves a spot on the many awards that recognizes only normal music.

Will never forget how at the end of the subspace emissary story you get the theme one more time but with lyrics and translation and the you realize how the lyrics describe exactly the sentiment of the game: this crossover of heroes from diferent worlds working together and against eachother but always acknowledging eachother strength, giving the song a lot more weight that already have just by sounding so damn cool.

You know a song had a huge child hood impact when you get goosebumps and tears start to form in your eyes... jeez what a year to be alive. 🎉

God booting up my Wii and hearing this was next level. So many times I would just let the entire intro play before getting into a long Brawl session either doing the story or playing with ai or playing with my friends. Legendary times, what a beautiful and iconic theme, I still remember the entire thing

My first video game. Absolutely iconic soundtrack that captured me for years when I heard it. Made the moments in the games campaign feel so special!

I was never a fan of clasical pieces, but this one just spoke to 12y/o me so hard I still revisit it from time to time, so many memories and yet it felt like a flash, hecking loved this game

That part along with the very beginning are my favourites, they remind me of simpler times when I was proud of beating my first ever videogame (the subspace emissary campaign)

I love this song so much!!! I think this song was responsible for me getting into video games and music when I was a kid. I remember dancing to this song in my living room and now I'm studying to become a composer, because of it! I'm so glad you made a video analyzing it! I know it's a fan favorite and have wondered what it was about the piece, that made so many of us like it!

Just found your channel for the first time through this! Super Smash Bros. Brawl is an outlier for many due to its unique battle mechanics, but it holds a special place in almost every Smash player's heart, if only for the absolutely epic story mode that had tons of music tracks like this one. I seriously recommend playing it, if you get the time

Brawl was my introduction to Smash Bros (and a good majority of the characters/series therein) so you can imagine how big of an impression this theme left on me as a kid. It may have it's haters, but I loved my time with Brawl and that OP was 🔥.

Idk if it really has “haters” so much as people recognizing the gameplay was terrible. I think any smasher would agree that brawl has both the best main theme and the worst gameplay😂 Nintendo literally intentionally made the gameplay clunky to encourage the party game vibes after melee got so competitive which they don’t like.

"Really important to a lot of people" is a great way to put it. We dont just like it, it's important to us. Subscribed for the anime videos, but glad to see you're reacting to Brawl's theme as well!!!

Its so much better when you understand the meaning of the latin lyrics, tells a sort of story and the premise of the whole game.

This being just my favorite smash ever out of all of them, it's just magical for me. Yet, i have NEVER noticed that in certain part the instrumental would fade out and the voices were taking the whole lead. It is beyond amazing. ❤

I owned the original Smash on 64, Melee on Gamecube, and now Ultimate on Switch, but roughly 2005 to 2015 was a period where I really didn't do much gaming and I never ownee a Wii or Wii U. . I'm not a music producer so ill try my best to explain how this makes me feel, but whenever I listen to Melee's or Brawl's or Sm4sh's theme, there are so many moving parts and layers to the composition that by the end you feel like you've gone on a spiritual journey. Every time it could've looped back around, it started another deeper section of the song that just gently caresses your soul. I don't know how they were able to make a song that's able to achieve such an abstract feeling, but they somehow did with those three, which is why I'm okay with saying there's no other songs like them. I hope that makes sense.

This is definitely one of Uematsu's best tracks, right up there with "Liberi Fatali" and "One-Winged Angel"! Also, BrentalFloss has a misheard lyrics parody of this track, with gems like "Ooooh, who is coming? It's Dave!" and "Queequeg dead (you can eat his pudding)".
