"Mommy, tell me the story again!" The child clamored, pulling onto her mother's sleeves as the woman made the beginning motion of standing up and walking towards the door, which she knew was going to happen. After all, it did not escape the child that the short hand of the clock was pointed at nine. Her bedtime was nigh, and her mother was only going to get mad if she'd stayed up for too long. "Again?" The mother turned around to smile gently at her child, not bothering to conceal an expression containing a mix of both surprise and slight exasperation. "You really do love that story, don't you? You're turning ten tomorrow, you know? I thought you're already a big girl that doesn't need to hear bedtime stories to fall asleep." At that, the little girl pouted and puffed out her cheeks. "...if I'm turning ten tomorrow, then can't I hear it one last time? Before I become a big girl for real...tell me the story one more time. With the music box and everything." The mother just smiled tenderly at hearing her daughter's words. It was partially true, what her words mean; perhaps this was the last night she would get the chance to ask for this story without feeling too embarrassed to ask. The woman recalled fondly her own memories of begging her own mother to read the storybook over and over again, and suddenly the request put forth by her daughter did not seem as unreasonable as it had first seemed. The fact that it had seemed unreasonable at all was almost unfathomable to her now. "Alright, sweetie. I'll tell you the story again, okay? With the music box in the background, okay? You always cry when I tell this story without the music, so I think you; can't really handle the music with it. It might make you too emotional, honey. You sure you're ready?" "Yeah!" The child replied, grinning from ear to ear. "I'm gonna be a big girl! I can take it! I'm different from who I was before!" "You mean who you were last week?" The mother laughed as she dodged her child's pillow, standing up from the bedside and walking over to a nearby drawer. She glanced in the mirror momentarily, pausing to adjust her reading glasses before she opened the second drawer from the top. Sliding the wooden drawer open, she revealed what she considered the most valuable thing in the whole house, even more so than the house itself. A small music box. It was white and decorated with intricate curves of gold. A single red jewel sat in the center of the top face and a small knob jutted out from the back of the small box. The woman gazed fondly down at it before she closed the drawer door and walked back to her child, who sat upright in her bed eagerly awaiting her mother's story. The woman sat down and, with a twisting motion of her arm, wound up the music box as far as her wrist could twist. She did so again and again, and this continued for a minute of silence save for the sound of the knob turning with a barely audible mechanical sound. Once she was done, she set the music box down on her child's lap and let the knob go. The tune that began to play was one that the child had grown up hearing; it was the song that she had slept to when she was but a mere babe suckling on a pacifier. It was the song that she had slept to when she had already graduated from diapers. It was the song that she had listened to the night before her first day of elementary school. It was the song she would listen to whenever she would have a fight with her friends and she was feeling a little sad. This song meant so much to her. The mother smiled at seeing her daughter's expression upon hearing the first notes of the song playing and filling the air with melody. She closed her eyes and let the tone drift tenderly into her ears and down into her heart, the memories it incited filling her heart and making it overflow with emotion. She cleared her throat and reached out to her child, patting her on the head and gently stroking her hair. "This is the story of a girl that loved her friends more than anything. This is the story of a girl who was willing to sacrifice everything to save the world and everyone in it. This is the story of a girl that believed in granting the wishes of innocent girls everywhere and connecting their hearts together." "This is the story of a girl that believed in magic."

Hell, I'm so glad I found this! One thing I'd like to point out tho, while Yuki Kajiura composed Madoka Magica's OSTs, the one who composed all of the openings including this one and the movie is Shou Watanabe. He's a seriously underrated composer, I really wonder why he's not more famous than his current state.

Actually the description was kind of a mistake. I was copy and pasting it across my other Madoka Magica videos and simply forgot to change this one. It was supposed to say ClariS but I just edited it and put Shou in there too. I never thought Shou was underrated as I've heard about him a lot, but he's definitely really good! :D

But I usually don't, but sometimes with many of my friends I act like the Mother figure like Mami (as in telling them what they're doing/saying is completely idiotic XD)

+andrewlebarbare I think it thickens the story. I feel like your holding onto the past which is exactly what Homura is doing. You got to let it go and just flow with the story. There is a short pmmm film coming soon called Concept if you were not aware already. many beleive it will lead into.the next movie. The way they ended Rebellion they can't leave it as so. There was no Closure. I was not satisfyed with the shows ending I always wondered if Madokas wish really changed the world. Because all wishes seemed to backfire in a way. but thats my opinion.
