Phenomenal work. Was wondering I saw a few plastic bags in the video that were containing the mushroom growth. Are those reused or is there a continual need for plastics to maintain that aspect of your mushroom product?

Yes but overall you reduce plastic, 1 plastic mold can grow thousands of mushroom foam, plus they can use recyclable plastic which have a much higher recycle rate than styrofoam which are mostly non-recyclable

Because its production is slower and harder than styrofoam's, and the only goal of businesses is to make profit. Therefore other companies choose styrofoam because it's cheaper

Very innovative idea and good work! I have a question related to this video clip. Due to Corona virus, I have to record each class and upload it on a specific educational platform and want to show this clip to my students. Though I left this link url on my ppt slides, I also played it as well while recording my class in ppt presentation. Does this violate copyright in this case? At the end of this clip, the reporter says where he belongs. The recording is only for my students and I'm going to write the source of this for sure. Anyone knows this issue?

So, it needs a lot of heat to dry. That's not eco friendly at all. They could dry it in a solar oven. But that will take time. Let's hope in the future it will become better.

The issue I see: A-Production time, 1 part takes 4-6 days for the Mycelium to form, then drying time. B-Space, if you use 2000 packaging parts per week, you need at least 2000 plastic molds and the space for them. You will need a gigantic facility to replace the actual plastic packaging.

Great news, BUT the Elephant in the room is the single use plastic bags you keep the Mycelium in. The Molds are not too bad as they can be reused an almost infinite amount of times, perhaps that’s the way to go with the single use, is to store all your Mycelium in Plastic containers instead of bags?. But an eco solution to you using single use plastic need to be found asap, or you are still a part of the problem to a degree, but stil are!

The plastic mold can be reused hundreds and prob thousands of times until it breaks, so it is not single used. plus that plastic have a much higher recyclable rate than the normal styrofoam.
