@@davybones7912 hitler at one point used to be a painter. the art is okay at best but during the time there was a lot of people better then he was so he was turned down from his dream school of fime arts twice. He mostly painted buildings and scenes of nature, which were pretty generic since lots of artists did and still do art like that.

If society has appreciated your work as original, it’s probably not original. The logic here is that in the appreciation of work, there’s the implicit understanding that there’s a path to understand that work. Understanding is necessary to separate your creation from arbitrary randomness. The primary complaint of modern music and art through the ages has been to extend the envelope not destroy the envelope and create something unrecognizable. This illustration is a bit to that point: I Could Have Done That - Copyright © 2017 ArtBeat Magazine When you think you’re being original, you’re extending a current paradigm in a way that is recognized as having thought, planning, and intent. And, to do so requires that the bulk and basis of your creation has been accepted as a member of the true form of the art. At times, in modern art that seems to mean that the work has a provenance card citing the author, name, date of creation, and high-level inventory of materials. For example: From At is a pile of rocks (photo essay) Copyright © 2014 by “kelise72” In the above, Carwyn Evans, ‘Unlliw’, a pile of bird boxes (that look like bricks) are properly displayed in a gallery with a proper provenance card citing the artist, title, and inventory of materials. Stock photo of a Pile Of Bricks, copyright © 2020? Adobe Being a stock photo, it’s perhaps now art, but it’s a pile of bricks essentially of the same fiber of creativity as “Unlliw” above. But no provenance card. No gallery. Not art. Not original. Whereas nearly identical “Unlliw” … “is original.”

2020 was not a failure to the Radicalized Left. They went into mass hysteria over a common virus. They destroyed the economy to discredit President Trump. They used the hysteria to radically alter the rules of the 2020 presidential election. (They literally cancelled primaries to guarantee a Biden victory.) Trump was ousted, and now they have just passed into law a multi-trillion dollar spending package. 2020 was a great success for the Radicalized Left.

The Prius on the other hand is one car I would not want to be even close to in a major impact.

For me “originality” can be related to “unique”, “new” or not a copy from others. We could start by saying that everything can be changed, transformed, improved and combined to generate things, however, sometimes, a small change can go a long way, so, not always it is important to be completely disruptive in the way we create things. Looking for analogies between things that are from completely different fields can be a good starting point. Thinking about other uses of things that are used for a specific purpose can be a way to discover new ways of doing things. Sometimes, lack of originality can be related to fear of being criticised. This fear can be perceived when thinking about what it exists already, what is typical, the norm and trying to do things differently, not according to the social rules or what people are used to. In the begining, they can think you are crazy… until it is successful and they think that it was common sense and wonder how they did not think about it before. It is good to question assumptions about how things are done, to question if things can be done in different ways, not only using a different type of similar tools but using a completely different tool. Even in the process of operations could be asked at every stage why is it the way it is done and which other ways could be done. A good starting point could be to consider ourselves as unique human beings. We all have similarities, but we have a unique set of life experiences, beliefs, motivations, knowledge, etc. Therefore, if we focus on ourselves, we can create something original combining our unique set of personality traits, ideas, motivations, knowledge and life experiences.

Too bad this museum was temporary, I would have loved to have visited it. From what you shown, I enjoyed recognizing some of the failures in marketing and products as well as learning some new ones I never knew. On a side note, I had an opportunity to buy a Little Miss No Name doll and didn't take it, which I regret. Being a fan of horror and depressing things, I like how mildly creepy yet pitiful she is.

I wouldn't call Blockbuster a failure, it was a major success that ran it's course. What most people don't know about the Edsel is as a car it was a success because it was a very reliable and well built car but it was a marketing failure because nobody could accept that a Ford being a high end luxury car at the time.

Was Blockbuster really a failure? or just a outdated concept? As I see a failure if it wasn't successfully right out the bat that didn't lasted a year or even a week and having alot of negativity right out the bat. oh jeez... Ayds, the naming department much been off that day.

Blockbuster failed to adapt to changes in the video rental industry, and they played catch-up with Netflix and Redbox as a result, which led to their demise.

Yeah I can see that as a failure playing catch up, when it's to late. I liked blockbuster, but if anyone can get their movies in a instant of a click of a button at home., yeah Blockbuster was hose for not changing soon. My guess they thought on demand movies was just gonna be a "fad" thing. But nope, better technology and methods are mostly gonna replace the outdated and slower methods.

I started going to Blockbuster when it was all video tape, I miss my weekly visits there. I had 950 rentals when it closed, I felt betrayed somehow. I still have my Blockbuster rental card.

Looks like the museum I should be in!
