Fascinating report and commentary Loic …what a treat… it is extremely interesting to learn about the artists and techniques. To understand the meaning behind their art, the period and movements, and techniques to seek to challenge or aspire through their eyes and through their art. I also love that artists and designers revisit and draw from the past and are inspired to create magnificent attire in the present. It is awe inspiring looking at these huge canvases that Whistler has crafted along with the other great masters exhibited. Curating such a collection and listening to the experts critique and comments is fascinating and a privilege. I loved this ! Fabulous and spectacular! Adored the 19th century potted history fashion and revisit of designers and cat walk …Moodboard! Moodboard! Jam packed with good interesting stuff!! Thank you for your insightful report and for enlightening us Loic and team 😘

@@LeavingThisTownYT My dad is an artist (mostly oils) and we grew up going to art museums and galleries a lot. Our family's favorite board game was Masterpiece, where we'd try to one-up each other with facts about whichever painting or artist was up for auction. At 60yo, I miss having people in my life who can converse about Manet or Whistler or Miró.

Rebonjour Monsieur Loïc fantastique Prigent j'adore ce genre de vidéos et le moodboard m'avait tellement manquée il y avait des kilomètres de crinoline c'était excellent j'ai adoré le portrait de Mme Frances Leyland c'est celui que je préfère et c'est vrai le cadre fait parti intégrante de l'œuvre on voit la différence avec le portrait de l'homme à la pipe merci c'est passé trop vite gros bisous d'une grande fan d'Alger ♥️♥️♥️

I suggest that people look up the history of Mrs Whistler, rather than make fun of her. She was an extremely strong person-it was she who brought the children back to American from Russia after the father died. George Whistler was an army engineer who had been asked by the Tzar to come to Russia to build a railway. Imagine yourself as a woman, having to bring your children from (primitive) Russia to America in 1849.

je scrollais les commentaires pour voir si il y aurait au moins une allusion à ce film ! personnellement il me fait toujours rire, du grand Mr Bean ! dans le film, les américains ont réussi à racheter le tableau, il n'en est rien .....

Le jeune homme passionné dit des choses pertinentes à propos du portrait de la mère de Whisler et ça fait du bien ...
