@@pepesilvia429 Part of that is they were asked if they wanted to do a "greatest hits", but instead they made original songs in a greatest hits format. That's why it's a little all over the place. I like the idea of just making songs that sound like your songs throughout your discography rather than just reproducing an album of already made songs, especially in a time where you can just create your own playlist.

I read in an article the other day that they made this album as a tribute to all their greatest hits because they were told to just make a greatest hits album. They really hit the nail on the head with this album. I hear so much influence from different albums in Will Of The People and it still sounds fresh at the same time. absolutely agree. This song has its own charm. And in many songs there is something unique and inimitable that makes Muse a Muse.

The ending with the glove refs from Simulation Theory and the wheelchair from Won't Stand Down are just amazing. We couldn't imagine an end like that, I don't have the words, the album is so incredible and the clips crazy

I can understand why some people might not like it (it's definitely one of their "guilty pleasure" tracks). But it's short and sweet and the music video is quite impressive. Plus it'll be featured in a fair few Halloween playlists for years to come.

I mean I do appreciate that about them. at least they change it up quite often. I'm so tired of bands like Foo Fighters, Imagine Dragons (barely a band..), and several other generic radio garbage getting all the spotlight and sounding the exact same EVERY SINGLE TIME. Like we get it... you are not creative people. We need a rock resurgence because even the pop music is generic and horrible for the last 10+ years.

If we ever get another Castlevania game this needs to be in it, it fits right in with all the other Gothic Rock songs in the series

I'm not a huge fan of Muse, but I gotta say, this is a banger. AND it has an amazing video if awesome visuals.

I love the guitar solo in this. The sound is just amazing in this. Very eighties rock feeling, but also more modern. I really wished the solo was a bit longer. The song itself is catchy too. I'm hoping the radio dj's will play it and it becomes a hit. Love it!

I jumped off the Muse bandwagon after Black Holes, saw them at Glasto in 2003, Reading 2006 and many times before - they used to utterly blow me away. It’s taken me up until this point to feel excited about Muse again, this is genuinely a completely insane but brilliant album.

Well there was a significant shift during The Resistance in what Muse was - they became more overblown, veering more into the ridiculous - this album seems very self aware of what to expect from a Muse album and cranks it to 11. The 2nd Law is sadly their worst record. Drones - I liked Reapers and The Handler but again, compared to their earlier works it just wasn’t a great album. Simulation Theory…umm. So now we have this record, it’s just a lot of fun. We can argue how great Exogenesis is, Guiding Light, Unsustainable and Isolated System etc…but as an entire record, no. Origin and Absolution are fantastic start to finish. That’s my main issue.

@@gimo80 I feel the same! I still miss the pre-Resistance style that was a lot more emotionally raw, but this album echoes a lot of their greats (perhaps because of how fucked the world is right now haha)

As always Muse masterfully incorporates parts of classical music as if it is their own! Tocata Fuga in the beginning and end perfectly adds to Halloween theme Very hype song, loved it!

Correct me if I'm wrong but although the whole organ part is Tocata Fuga inspired, only the swelling in the beginning (before the main riff kicks in) and at the end is literaly Tocata and Fuga, am I right? Or am I missing some parts? I also think the organ part is in D itself.

I love everything about this song. It gives me massive Rockwell and MJ vibes, along with some Danny Elfman

Halloween has always meant a lot to me as a holiday, so you can bet that this song made me smile from the second the creepy organ music kicked in. And all the little nods to famous horror movies, too. Just....BRAVO! ❤
