Five months after the theatre tour, here I was back in Canada (this time in Montreal) and New York to see Muse again on their main Will Of The People tour! This time around, featuring another one of my very favorite bands as the opener - Evanescence! It was a dream to see them both playing in the same venue together every night.
For both nights in Montreal, I ended up in the exact same spot: barrier at the front of the catwalk / b-stage, pretty much dead center. It provided a great view of the entire visual experience although it was somewhat far from the main stage. The trade off was getting some great up close interaction on a select few songs at the end of the catwalk. You were also in the thick of the streamer and confetti storms out here by the b-stage, which was a lot of fun! Night one in Montreal I had a wonderful surprise too - I got handed a Muse setlist during the beginning of "You Make Me Feel Like It's Halloween" (you can see it in my video for "Halloween" from 3/14). I suspect Dom saw my "setlist please" sign on the back of my phone when he was out on the catwalk during the previous two songs and alerted someone to it... but it's only speculation. I was beyond thrilled!
First night in Montreal we got the rotations of Citizen Erased, Verona, and Undisclosed Desires. Finally getting to hear Verona live was a definite highlight. I love that song so much!
