ME TOO! I've tried to get several friends into Muse, but they don't bite. Their loss. (They're old, but so am I, and I love 'em!!)

Considering how young they are and how inexperienced (at bigger gigs like this), Matt is a natural frontman. They amaze me at how good they all are at playing.

Matt definitely put his heart and soul into this song that night. The old version is amazing and the longer ending is so badass.

Plug In Baby started with the crowd thinking 'okay, this is not bad' to the massive crowd in a stadium/arena sing along to the riff. What a growth!

LOVE that, throughout the whole song, Matt manages to give the audience the middle finger! Lol! :) H xx

I think it also has to do with the type of stagea they perform on nowadays, the big stadiums with a huge crowd in the distance and mega lights shows don't seem to invite the same directness as gigs in places like these. I can imagine that creates for a more impersonal relationship with the crowd and that shows in the individual performance. It's all much more orchestrated.
