It's a rare thing when an orchestral version can keep the dynamics of a rock song. Big respect for the arrangement and execution! When the singer started, I literally had goosebumps. Congratulations to everyone involved!
I can't decide if my favourite aspect of this performance is the performance itself or the looks of pride and joy in the musician's and conductor's faces as they are performing it. Very brave to take on a piece that is technical as it is, nevermind figuring out an arrangement that gets the balance right for an orchestra! Bravo!!
waiting for Matt Bellamy to see this and play the original rock song with this orchestra and choir.
A wave of goosebumps rolled all over my skin and then I spontaneously started crying. My body wasn't ready. BRAVO!!
This is the closest I'll ever get to seeing my dream of Morricone conducting Knights of Cydonia. Thanks!
By the look of the face I would say conductor had the time of her life enjoying every bit of it. And for the very good reason. I just loved it.
Why am I only just seeing this now. Amazing rendition
Dudeee, this is heaven ❤
Man this gave me chills to listen to and brought tears to my eyes. The emotion in everyone's music was palpable.
The Director looks so proud and everyone seem to enjoy it... that's what music and art are meant for. That was touching. Thank you!
I love how a good piece of music sends shivers from the top of my skull to the base of my spine.
I can't understand why KZread waited 3 years to show me this ! This i amazing ! I'm sure Bellamy himself would love it since how much it really renders the epic spirit of the original song. Congrats to all performers and arranger :)

I awoke at 5am to begin my 3 day weekend...sipping on some coffee and enjoying this ..Thank You !

Literal chills the whole performance. Absolutely stunning rendition of a masterpiece ❤️
If there would be a movie that would be using Knight of Cydonia in an orchestra version as an intro, I would have imagine it sounding like this. Especially with the choir part. This is amazing to pull it off!

I came here because just wondering an orchestral version of a beautiful song. I didn't expect to have an explosion of emotions and cry. That was WOW!

Absolutely amazing. I think the conductor is absolutely enchanting! That expression, that facial expression. Great!!!! I would have liked such a conductor in the past. ❤❤❤
why the hell am i just hearing this now holy Shit i got chills. this is so insanely impressive
This makes me miss playing instruments. I had a music teacher that this one reminds me of. She was always so encouraging and got really excited for us when we advanced and learned and nailed performances. You could see pride every time she directed us, from beginners to advanced she was the same with everyone. Everyone got constructive criticism, everyone for one on one time and everyone got praised for doing the right thing and doing their best. What a cool show!
The algorithm has blessed me with this one. This is unironically one of the most epic things I've ever heard! Incredible arrangement, only wish the microphone hadn't swapped mid-recording
I think I’ve showed this to 25 different people so far. It’s fantastic!
I don't know if you still look at this account but this is one of my favorite things.
Absolutely the best orchestral version of a modern song I’ve ever heard. Watching this just wishing I could’ve been in that choir singing live with these amazing musicians, i can’t think of anything more thrilling. Beautifully arranged and a triumphant performance ❤🎉
This song has one of my all time favorite intros. To hear that song in this setting was pretty insane.
that drummer is the definition of self-control. the amount of effort it must have taken him to go through this whole song without bursting into a drum solo every second is inconceivable.
Nearly 5 years later, still Goosebumps...
I wonder if the fellas from Muse have seen this version of their song ?? I reckon theyd love it !!!
This is a beautiful arrangement. I'd be proud of those kiddos, too.

The best of human beings working together
I would be losing it whether on stage or in the crowd and would be dying to jump around when the solo hit. So much to appreciate in this composition and the performance, and it also adds additional layers of appreciation to the original recording and live performance, such as how just 3 people can so naturally produce a massive wall of sound with some much impressive complexity and emotion.
I love this version, I hear it once everyday. Absolutely brilliant. 4 years later, but worth it.

Ok, now I need a philharmonic orchestra version and Muse along with it! That was beautiful! I'm a big fan of the band! And I really like this song, it’s a true anthem! I have to say, even better than I expected it to be. Nailed it with the choir, that really fit the piece!

This was absolutely amazing to find. The band did a great job. This is by far my favorite version of this song now. All I could think is how it would make some epic final boss battle music in a video game. Great job!
the galloping drumbeat is one of the most iconic parts of this song, im sad to hear it replaced with this tempo. Savagely interesting concept though, commendations for that much!
It's going to take quite a while before I actually watch this video. Chances are I'll have slipped the Sennheisers on, closed my eyes and just felt this magnficant work a dozen times first. Bravo!

What I just heard is something EPIC. Matt will greatly appreciate his love of classical music. Everything has been excellently made, every instrument, every note is perfectly in its place ... everything completes a spectacular, magical chorus. Congratulations to those who have had this wonderful idea and especially to those who have created, played and interpreted this milestone of contemporary music. This version will surely remain in history. Congratulations again.

There are so many layers to this video, but the thing that touches me the most is the universal effort to make a great performance. An excellent team rises to the occasion, and makes powerful music from a great arrangement. It's so much fun to see smiles closer to the end, when the performers are enjoying themselves. Music, emotions, happiness.
I can't get this out of my head. I love so much about this. The arrangement is just beautiful and its so well performed. I love the facial expressions of the lead vocalist in particular, mixed with the shifting emotions of the chorus and the varying excitement vs calm levels of the conductor. Just so well done overall, and that this is done by students at any level is phenomenal.
Amazing version, all these kids should be very proud of themselves ! Thank you for posting this !
That - was a piece of excellence!
