In a interview - Matt Bellamy said that this album is their alternative to just releasing a "best of" album. They went back through their catalog and put fourth the best type of each song they have made. Each song is their version of their best type of song. Kill or be killed is their best version of a metal song. And I would agree

It's "Bliss" off their 2nd album that it reminds me of. Big full on , typical, Muse, power chorus. Great vid again guys.

The footage is from the IOW festival, I was there and it was incredible. I’ve seen muse 7 times now and that song was one of, if not the best I’ve seen them play live
Bellamy is a very talented composer! He likes to use various musical genres, instruments, effects, tools. He likes to combine rock, metal, symphonic orchestra, piano, synthesizers, dubstep, electronics, and classical music. He loves Queen, Chopin and other bands. And you know what's the best? The best part is that ultimately, when the song is done, it still sounds like Muse! In Muse we will find a lot of inspiration, but the sound will tell us that it's this band. I love them for that! Matt Bellamy said he didn't like recording two of the same albums. He likes variety. PS: On the Internet you can read that the next songs from the latest album "Will Of The People" will be very interesting. "Ghosts" is a sad piano ballad. The piece refers to death. "Liberation" is a musical rollercoaster. Apparently it resembles "Bohemian Rhapsody"! It will be interesting! Greetings to you! Great channel!

@@drewdrake4451 Yes i love it! This is one of my favorite songs! The symphony shows Matt Bellamy's great talent as a composer. Honestly, I miss classical music. I would like Muse to record something similar again sometime. The whole album "The Resistance" is a beautiful mix of Queen and classical music. Besides, "Exogenesis" is double happiness for me. Why? I recommend listening to this song in the instrumental version. It's a fascinating experience! I am from Poland and I love Fryderyk Chopin's music. Matt loves him too. I am glad that he is following him. Instrumental version of "Exogenesis": kzread.info/dash/bejne/ga2spa-gca6ZfLw.html

I'm going to listen to the instrumental version with the good headphones in a moment. You like Simulation Theory! What does the song The Void say to you? Aware I might sound weird asking questions like this but I'm interested in those that can really feel the work.

I find Rachmanioff to be beautiful. You can hear the influence during the piano solo on Butterflies.
@bartomiejdusza6243

@@drewdrake4451 Do not worry! I like such questions! I also think that you have to feel music! It's great that you are writing this! "Simulation Theory" is a surprising album. Unusual and unusual, but once again confirming that Muse likes musical experiments. "The Void" is an interesting song. In my opinion, one of the best on the album. When I listen to "The Void", I have the impression that I am at a psychiatrist's and I am hypnotized. I imagine myself going deeper and deeper into the tunnel with each passing second and there is light at the end. It's fascinating that this is the last number on the album! Her position on the tracklist matches my feelings. Wow! Is this a deliberate action by Muse? From the album "Simulation Theory" I like "Algorithm" the most. It reminds me of film music. I also like "Pressure" a lot. A beautiful journey into the 1980s and the movie "Back to the Future". Every time I listen to her, I move my head and my whole body. PS: Sorry for my English. It's not the best, but I hope it's understandable! :) PS 2: Yes! Sergey Rachmaninoff is also present at B&H. This is a great inspiration for Matt!
That was actually a gutteral during that breakdown I think, it just had mad effects/production on it. Matt can definitely do gutterals because there's a video from last week of him randomly doing one during madness which was so out of place but hilarious

Matt said in an interview his son made him listen to Slipknot every day on the way to school, so maybe this is not only a callback to their Absolution days but integrating some Slipknot elements in there.

"unexpected" this song like "I have so many song in my playlist and many genres in there. and Muse come to my playlist to pickup many song and genres and blend it and boom... Muse created 1song"
Not a Muse fan here; this is an absolute banger !
HUGE MUSE fan. This is for sure one of their best albums, just saw them last month in Los Angeles.
Something about hearing the double kick from Muse makes me so happy bro
Best single off the new album so far
I think this song became part of their usual setlist, they played it live a ton of times before the studio release
This was the first time I’ve listed to it all the way through. Which hurts my heart because I used to stay up and listen to it as soon as possible..
Huge "Stockholm Syndrome" and "Reapers" vibes here and that's damn good thing.
It's as metal as muse can get with not being themselves
I love all Muse, old and new. I can't wait to see them live in July. Woohoo!
I feel attacked as one of the people that messages Nath! Haha 😂 fun fact Muse are my favourite band, but I still managed to message Nath before listening to this. Just because I know it and the reaction would be awesome!!! Buzzing for the album to drop!!

So without kistening to your commentary at the end (sorry, wanted to get this comment out on my break), I think you're thinking of Time Is Running Out and/or Stockholm Syndrome. The PreChrous drum work is Time and the breakdown and riffage is Stockholm 😁 Freakin Love this one!!

I was waiting for this after your great reaction to Won't stand down !!!!!!!!!!
It reminds me of The small print in places. Vocal melody is similar. But yeah, since every song Muse does sounds like Muse, it's a pretty big shout to make all of them completely unique.

This song to me sounds like The Small Print mixed with elements of Break it To Me and Dead Star.
5:07 I think it's structured like Assassin, but heavier than anything else they've done. And you're right that's not a bad thing.
The end of this song gives me huge techno drowning pool vibes
you should check out the live version, sounds so much heavier
Definitely get “Madness” vibes from this one 👍🏻
Major Queens of the Stoneage vibes
Take a bow + knights of cydonia + bliss + repears + resistance + invincible = kill or be killed
reminds me of the old school UFC theme song they used for the start of their programming lol Stemm-Face the pain
Definitely BHAR vibes!! This could be one of their top songs imo, so late in their career too its so cool 😎 also please Johnny 🙏 do the backflip #emp4eva
They sampled music from a film called strange magic.
I think the song you were thinking of was Stockholm Syndrome from 2003’s Absolution. Check out dead star. It’s from a 2002 EP
thank you very much, guys
5:11 I think it's Bliss
Looking forward to seeing you boys react to new Story of the Year.
