Muscles of the upper arm and shoulder blade - Human Anatomy | Kenhub

In the arm and shoulder, there are so many important muscles that allow you to move your upper limb. Ready to test your knowledge on those muscles? Check out our quiz: khub.me/n3r0p
Oh, are you struggling with learning anatomy? We created the ★ Ultimate Anatomy Study Guide ★ to help you kick some gluteus maximus in any topic. Completely free. Download yours today: khub.me/5nx9a
On this anatomy video tutorial, we will be covering the muscles found in the upper arm and the shoulder. Essentially, we will be exploring those muscles attached to the scapula and the humerus. These muscles are responsible for many important functions of the upper limb. Without them, we would not be able to move our arms as easily as we can. These muscles are also responsible for defining the surface anatomy of the upper arm and shoulder. For example, the deltoid is the muscle responsible for the definition of our shoulders.

I was wondering if muscles situated in other parts of the body can affect the tension distribution when punching. I've heard that in boxing its not just your arms but your core and leg muscles which help generate force, said force is largely dependent on mass and acceleration yet the elastic energy coming from muscle tissue contracting then releasing in impact may have a part to play. Could you clear up any misunderstandings i have and give feedback on whether other muscle group affect other muscle groups?

As an artist I find this extremely useful for learning muscle anatomy. One thing that would make these better for my usecase would be seeing the muscles when the arm is in different positions but just getting the basic understanding of what kind of muscles there is, their shape and position is really useful^^ So don't know about medical school but will likely end up sharing these to my fellow artists^^

I really enjoyed the clarity of this video. Thanks for making it. I do feel like we have more muscles than we need for movement, yet each muscle would have a specific function (probably in conjunction with others). I'd love to see what movement each muscle is responsible for or contributes to. I am a climber and I'm watching these to figure out what muscles are hurting and how I'm causing the hurt.

PDZ1122 A machine is considered perfect if it does exactly what it was made for. If we *assume* that the human body was made with the intention that it should never have disease, then it would have been imperfect. However, who said that that assumption is correct to begin with? We are being tested in this life, we are supposed to be weak, we are supposed to fall ill, we are supposed to face difficulties, we are supposed to die. If these things didn’t exist this wouldn’t work as a test. If you look at it that way, this is actually a perfect test ground for us human beings. Perfect for what it was made for. In a sense, perfectly imperfect. And yes I did use that cliche XD If you want to talk proofs and logic I’m willing to :)

Initialy the study of human anatomy may appear extremely complicated. It's true that it's complex and your studies will not change that. As for being overwhelming, that can be eleviated if you take your study one step at a time. I found an article on Sebs Study Crammer very useful for this.
