Thanks for this video. I just did muslce ups for the first time today. I'm 47 years old and it took me about 6 months, but no matter how many times I failed, I kept coming back and tried again. The exercises you demonstrate helped a lot. I can also do front levers over the bar (pullovers) and I couldn't do them 6 months ago. Thanks again

Best tutorial I’ve seen so far.
This was really good video, many tips, really well explained all the progressions and different conditionings for the muscle up. You have really thought about it and put it all there for everybody to see. Thanks for this video. I knew almost all of the information already, but this was a confirmation and I actually got new ideas for my training from this. It's hard to get fast results when you train many things at the same time and sometimes I have too much passion about one movement so that I'm too sore (sometimes train 3 days in a row) to do all the hard moves. I have to learn to rest also, I guess it's part of growing in strength for everybody it's something different. Hope to see more videos in the near future! Great tutorial, helps a lot as I am a rock climber, I can dip and pull up until the cows come home but still gotta get the muscle memory for the muscle up! No surrender! No mercy!!

Thanks, its old but still kinda gold! be careful with the chicken wing, they can helt you but if done wrong be hurting your elbows and shoulders. better stick to the other progressions and maybe use resistance bands.

I finally made a few muscle ups with both hands, but the difference is, that I drag it, over my chest very strongly (no swing in the beginning) is that making me prone to injuries? meaning I do a very low dip after the pull up, is that wrong? I'm starting to feel my elbows, is that the cause?

I have a problem I can not rotate my wrists and I think if I rotate my wrists I will be able to push and do the muscle up because when I do the straight bar dips I go all the way down do you have any tips that will help me ?

High pulls ups to the chest or higher: how do you fight gravity ?
I am only able to muscle up 1 arm at a time, any tips to help me get my 2 arms muscle up at a time? I have been stuck with this for a month. I want to get my 2 arms muscle up badly

if someone can help me out: im not very good at high pull ups (am training with a purple band now, but i am also doing weighted pull ups 20lbs for a week now) - am i on a right track for high pull ups? what else should i add on? if not, how many sets and reps do u suggest i do?

My workout start 1 year ago, i can do back, front, flag, dragon flag and a lot of freestyle but i never cant do muscle up :/
Great tutorial, reflects pretty much how I learnt it. Except, I used rubber bands also for assistance in the beginning.

Thank you, Im not a fan of the rubber band since it change your body position if you don't tense and pull your legs down wich you wouldn't do in a normal muscle up :) but I respect people using it and getting help from it, just not the way I teach people Salute
Krigat i ca en månad med att göra åtminstone en muscle up och har fortfarande inte klarat de.. Svårt att avgöra om de pga teknik el styrka, el kanskr både och.... Ja är stark på Chins annars, close grip Wide grip, både med och utan extra vikt :/
