Dominic Filiou surely deserves a spot in the 400lb muscle giant club, if not the top spot. He started competing in strongman in Canada in early 2000 and placed 3rd in World Strongest Man 2005 (2006 and 2007 he didn´t qualify for the final).
Dominic competed between 400 (180kg) and 440 lbs (200kg) although he hit the 460 pound mark once in Arnold Strongman Classic 2006! He is 198cm tall (6 feet 6 inches). On Wikipedia his biceps and waist measurement are listed at 24 and 48 inch respectively, I suspect they are from the WSM 2005 competition at a bodyweight of 180kg. Bodyfat is then approx. 17%. In WSM 2006 he was 200kg and rumours said that his biceps were 27 inches. Maybe in a pumped condition. 25 inches cold is very probable though. And his chest must´ve been 63-65 inches in a relaxed non-expanded condition. During the squat in the WSM 2005 final, commentator Colin Bryce said that Filiou had 40 inch quads! 37-38 inches cold is very probable but 40 sounds a bit too much. Neck and calf must´ve been at least 24 inches. Wrist probably 10 inches and perhaps a 20 inch forearm?
Dominic trimmed down to 360 pounds for the Fortissimus 2008 competition but he didn´t do well in that competition. Shortly after that he left strongman and concentrated on bodybuilding instead and placed 4th in a Quebec competition. After that it seems that Dominic is content to live a normal family life which is good news for him and his family but we strongman fans miss his gigantic stature and his down to earth humbleness.
