Murray Lawnmower Blade Spindle and Belt Replacement

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Murray Lawnmower Blade Spindle and Belt Replacement
This Murray Select Twin tractor kept losing mower deck belts, and we quickly realized it was the blade spindle bearings that had failed and were to blame. We'll replace both blade spindle hubs, the deck idler pulley, and the drive belt on the tractor to get it ready to get back to cutting!
Date of filming: October 18th, 2018

Aces to you for a job well done!! couple of things though, pressure wash the deck paint it with rustoleum reformer and spray it down with a good pruning seal or a herculiner product for it to last, also GREASE THE MANDRELS AND Shaft will last much longer. i have two lawn tractors in great condition, one Murray year 2000, the other a Craftsman 27 years old runs great. Since he hasn't answered you: For learning this kind of stuff, the best thing you can do is drag home some absolute garbage object and start into it. When I really cut my teeth with wrenching in my late teens, I brought home as $100 car with a transmission half installed in it and took the project over. I learned more about working on that thing than I ever could in school. On the flip side of that, if you want to DESIGN stuff like that or work in manufacturing around the building of those things, find a good Mechanical Engineering Technology program somewhere. I also did that. I recommend technology and not straight ME because you'll have more of a hands on focus on machining, CNC programming, CAD work, etc.

oney a good boi its not as hard as it looks. The best tip i have is to understand how it works and do some research before you get in to it. Parts diagrams yt videos are usually very helpful. ”The workshop” has a LOT of videos motorcycle engines and other general enginering knowledge that could be used when working on a car. Im pretty much only going to motorcycle college because i have to have an education to start as a motorcycle mechanic. I pretty much already know all the things i do need to know when fixing motorcycles.
