Interesting he uses the clutch on the downshifts, he's usually a left foot braker when downshifting

The cars transmission needs to set up slightly differently for left foot brakers, you can do it but it hurts the car, so anyone that left foot brakes wont do it in other cars that aren't set up for it

I always disliked Murph in his racing days (although had to respect that Lap of the Gods) --- but man he is by far one of the best commentators on the team, right up there with Larko.

I've always liked Murphs Aggression and commitment. Still an all time Supercars Favourite. Followed by SVG. Need more Murphs.

That was really cool... Never seen this before now... Murph's very level headed, very likeable...

your description is incorrect. Murph has raced ford badged cars in his career - this is the first time he has raced a FALCON, not the first time he has raced a ford... In 1992 he drove a ford sierra rs500 in the nissan mobil series. he placed second overall

I wish Supercars did more fun and quirky stuff like this. You Supercar guys forget us Kiwis are big fans too. Personally if i seen a v8 supercar just casullly driving down the road itd be so cool to see. Just for shits n giggles of course but its once in a lifetime sorta thing seeing stuff like that.

Idk about new zealand but i think that they are technically not road legal so something like that might not be possible. Agree about the quirky things though. I think our domestic motorsport should be promoted alot more to the average sports fan in our nations. Feel like there is more room for growth.

Imagine SVG driving through South Auckland in his 2016 Red Bull Supercar.. sideways. Pink smoke & all lol that car so dope I had to recreate it on Car X Drift Racing. So much fun!

I wanna see Murph drive a SBR Falcon from the 03-05 era.

1:57 damn, I had no idea they did heel-toe down shifts. I don't think I've ever seen the pedals in normal coverage, maybe it's the interior's design.

It is a ruling from CAMS. If you can't heel/toe you don't go racing until you learn and have been approved by an instructor.

What i dont get is how it took him so long to finally drive one. Like from what i can see all the racers in the supercars are quite close tight nit sorta group of people and youd think theyd be friends with each other n be like hey man wana have a drive of my car. But maybe murph just is a true commy fan

They all sound different from each other , but ford sounda ford and holden runs a chevy sounds like a chevy , but there is noticable differences from one ford or holden to the next one, but some sound the same, some sound really good but could be a mid pack runner some could sound average or thin but be the winner, fords sound better, they have more ring to them and more howl , where the holdens sound like a distauted quack or squarky,,with a blunt ring

Dandoo 1942 in 2012 Greg Murphy had a huge crash with Jonathon Webb at the Adelaide 500 where Greg injured his back and needed surgery and because he had back injuries he could not left foot brake that’s why he was right foot braking

As if this is a "Ford" standardised race cars that can be skinned any way you want
