There is nothing to understand. The lord may speak to people or he may not. There are people who don't understand why you take him seriously. He might not be in their lives because they don't need him. He is mighty enough to let those people be. And so can you and I.

Are we obliged to take fictional characters seriously? The Bible has been edited so many times, eg King James, by people for their own ends it's not a reliable source any more.

If there is no God then there is no sin . So then what is good and evil ?

@@teakkaye5364 there can be good and evil without god as those are human concepts of morality. Life itself is amoral; our deeds and our own interpretation of life determine if something is good or evil. I'm a Christian, too, but 'good' and 'evil' are simplistic concepts that are too childish even for god.

@@teakkaye5364 and yes, there is no sin. The only sin there might be is the absence of god; which is only relevant for believers anyway. People who don't believe don't bother themselves with sins.
