Helene Joy & Yannick Bisson are so good together they are the perfect couple

There are some great, entertaining and enjoyable programmes on the tv that help make your day nicer and more interesting. But every now and then, a programme turns up that is not just good but really special, like the difference between liking a person and falling completely in love with them and everything about them and finding them fascinating. The Murdoch Mysteries is special in that way.

Great show .would like to have an episode where in a dream Murdock and Crabtree switch roles. Murdock becomes Crabtree and Crabtree becomes Murdock. Think that would be a really funny and entertaining show. What do you think?

Seeing Helene Joy as Julia Ogden. With her wardrobe & as a Medical Examiner. So eliquent plus very classy at the same time. She steals every scene with her beauty.

J'adore le jeu d'actrice d'Helene Joy, son incroyable beauté et l'art de faire passer toute l'action ou l'atmosphère d'un seul regard, l'alchimie entre elle et Yannick Bisson, et aussi Jonny Harris ainsi que l'autre médecin légiste, Pourquoi cette série marche si bien? D'abord parce qu'on y raconte réellement une histoire! Scénario excellent, pas un seul temps mort, qualité incroyable des images et de la reconstitution d'époque, jeu des acteurs très convaincant, mystère tout le long de chaque épisode, émaillé de postulats et réflexions scientifiques poussées qu'il est un régal d'imaginer à cette époque antérieure. J'adore évidemment le côté historique où l'on décrit le quotidien des gens, comme l'époque victorienne dans Hercule Poirot (je préfère infiniment les versions avec David Suchet!), bref un dépaysement total, on est sûr de passer un bon moment tout en réfléchissant à bien des niveaux....

One of my favorite shows! Catching up with previous eplsodes on net flix. Love the way all the actors play off each other. Most of all of course...love Yannick Bisson!!!

I first saw this show when I was in the South of France back in 2011. My understanding of French was not very good at all, but I still watched it. When I returned to the States at the end of 2011, I searched for the show and a year afterwards, I found it on Netflix.

For those wondering, the word "aspirator" is used in french as "aspirateur" which means vacuum cleaner but in english now it means something else entirely (ex. : medical instrument), so the old term did stick around but not in the same language and changed meaning. Yannick speaks french so i'm 99% sure he knows about this and he was only beeing sarastic lol

In reference to Yannick being able to speak French, take into consideration that he was born in Montreal, Quebec Which is a French speaking province of Canada

These two work so well together.

The entire cast is perfect. I like how the Inspector always seems to come around to the center of things, after a start disagreeing with Murdoch. Julie, and George along with the other lad, Ted? are all great. iF i WROTE jULIE, i MEANT jULIA. pLEASE do not stop production. Pardon my bad sight.

I like his play on modern innovations. I liked that when preparing for a trip he adamantly said I need to have “ My pillow “. Lo and behold he's boarding the train with his pillow clutched under his arm

This show is so underrated.

My question would be: Helène & Yannick spend years (now onto season 14) kissing, etc.....how, if at all, does that effect real life relationships? I know they're acting and there's no sexually intimate scenes but I still think it would be hard being married irl and being in a fake acting relationship with someone for 14 years.

Here we are in 2023 and the series finale airs next week. Given Murdock’s love of science, i would love to see him head to NASA. Anything going to the moon! 😊

An enjoyable session RUINED by that dreadful military-style music going on ceaselessly. I actually checked my pc, thinking I'd tuned into something else - but no. What on earth was the creator of the snippet thinking of? I am a Brit, living in France - and we absolutely love the show in our household. The three main character men are so good - funny, likeable and charming - and as a woman, and an ex-actress myself, I must give a mench to the very well played female roles. We really hope the show will continue for many years.

I can't figure out what's going on with Helene's voice. She's from Australia, and she lives in Canada. So why does she sound so Germanic?
