Bloodchief Ascension doesn't trigger when tokens hit the yard, because they aren't cards and Bloodchief Ascension only triggers from cards.

I don't believe they triggered BA when the commander died though, so it evened out

I love seeing a mono-black deck sing... chefs kiss to that deck builder!

Great game! I think you could have killed Kyle when he attacked you though by activating Vito Thorn and giving everything lifelink, then when the imp died it would gain you 8 life and kill Kyle in the process. Could be missing something though

Really close game, and everyone got a chance to showoff there deck which is always nice

I don't know about that, both Kyle and Chris seemed to miss a lot of land drops early, slowing them down really badly.

Fun game! Massacre girl is a very interesting commander. Looking forward to more Karlov manor games. And fall out precons are just around the corner.

I think there was some misplays with Bloodchief Ascension as it specifies cards and I think some tokens triggered it? Always a great game, always fantastic narration

Are you referring to the 6 damage Voja has to deal to Massacre Girl? That is because she is a 6/6 at that point due to two +1/+1-counters.

​@@gccstan31 Ah, now I get you. I also didn't know. I assumed when defining the lethal damage with trample the tripling from Fiery Emancipation would be considered already. In this case Massacre Girl gets 18 damage, even though Voja has trample.

Is the interaction right with the triple damage and trample? Would it not be blocked, deal triple to the blocking creature then trample over the extra which is also tripled?

Here's one of the rulings for Fiery Emancipation - If a creature with trample you control would deal combat damage to a blocking creature while you control Fiery Emancipation, you must assign its unmodified damage. For example, a 3/3 creature with trample blocked by a 2/2 creature can have 2 damage assigned to the blocking creature and 1 damage assigned to the defending player. It will then deal 6 damage to the blocking creature and 3 damage to the defending player.

Commanders like chatter Fang and asmadi, the Dire. Are good against it. Given creature's negative power to toughness until end of turn and sacrifice works.

​@@outhereman005 I feel like Atraxa has plenty of different play patterns, it does probably win in as many turns but I don't think comparing Anzrag to Atraxa is a good comparison. Anzrog definitely just goes unga-bunga attack you can't block me in any profitable way. I don't hate a commander like that being in the game b/c I've played far too many mexican standoff games but it does feel like a rather dull commander.

Agreed. He is OP and with fast mana it doesn't make for fun games. Running more spot removal these days

My Voja deck is like 90% low cost elves and a handful of wolves. If it isn't killed before I attack suddenly my entire board is full of 6/6 and higher creatures lol.

I thought when you made the treasure you where going to gain the lifelink so when your token tied you would have killed the guy attacking you.

Judith gives an instant or sorcery lifelink and deathtouch. When I cast big score, giving it lifelink and death touch wouldn’t do anything because big score doesn’t deal damage. Therefore, I made an imp token with Judith instead. Does that make sense?

@@mostlycasualcommander right but you had 5 mana and Vito. So the imp could have done 2 dam on block you gain two the attacking player could have lost 2. Then the imp dies and does 2 dam to 3 players gaining you 6 life. Direct the life loss to the attacking player and that kills him before his next attack kills you.

kyle shouldve wiped the rest of the board with anzrag instead of killing BK right away and then killed him but oh well.

Kyle just killed himself to kill BK. Don’t think it was worth it. Like he had to know he couldn’t survive another go around w no blockers w such low life

He had a spore frog until j man chaos warped it. If not for the chaos warp, Kyle likely would have survived another turn by popping spore frog if he were attacked by j man.

Voja is such an annoying commander if it hits the field. Like this guy is up there with Koma literally pilots itself. Commander on easy mode if you will.

J man cast chaos warp on Kyle’s end step. Popping Spore frog would have done nothing except make Kyle lose two life from Bloodchief ascension. Is there some other reason you’re suggesting it was a misplay?
