An interesting and tragic story, I hope someone picks this video up and is able to finally find a family for this poor lady. I find it hard to understand how nobody can have missed her.
Crikey, you're certainly breaking new ground in your videos this summer. Very interesting, and I hope your video helps identify her and provide closure.
Very well put together, let’s hope one day , there will be closure .
Thank you Andrew for a very interesting case. It is amazing how some cold cases can be solved many years later. I hope your video may help solve this one. Excellent job filming and narrating this mystery! All the best to you from Massachusetts!

I have followed from the start and your channel is the only one I really enjoy watching, Im from Newcastle but love north Yorkshire, I have some really good memories of The NYMR, October time, cold mercy nights travelling on a Steam train then back to Filey to get warmed up and a movie.. Thanks for the story!
An excellent video on a tale which has fascinated me for some years. Thank you
There was a TV program a week or so ago where they used familial DNA to find living relatives of a body they couldn't identify. In the USA there is an organisation called DNA Doe Project, the doe as in Jane Doe, they are a nonprofit organisation who use DNA to identify people, they might be able to help.
Interesting stuff - thanks for retelling it
Thank you Andrew for sharing this mystery. You presented and edited this video very well, and I for one would like to see more of the same. Maybe someone out there will see this, and finally have the information to help close this case... thank you once again.

Brilliant work as ever Andrew. Always so sad when a person is laid to rest unidentified. I genuinely hope that this mystery is solved and her identity revealed. Thanks for this fascinating video.

Thank you for a really interesting video , hopefully it may help prompt some answers!
Interesting video Andrew, let's hope someone recognise,s this poor lady, and also I hope people will now visit her grave to pay their respects and place flowers.R.i.p.
Just found your channel and hooked, loved this story and fingers crossed this lady can be given a name and family found in the future 😊
What a sad story , hope one day the cold case team can put a name to her ,thank you Andrew for your compassion regarding this lady ,
In all the time I've travelled that area I didn't know this sad and awful story. Thank you for uploading. Hopefully with advances in DNA and people like you in social media bringing a cold case to fresh eyes, something comes out. I hope this poor lady and her family get some closure.
Fascinating story ,another interesting vid and somewhere else for this newbie North Yorkshire resident to visit .
Very good video, an intriguing case. You wonder why the man rang the police and why the police at Ripon? It was a clever idea by the police to not make this public at the time and wait to see if anyone would come to the site or phone up again. It’s sad that no one seemingly missed this woman or reported her missing despite her having children.
Thanks Andrew. Just found this. This lady is often in my thoughts, maybe because I drive past where she was found regularly. She so deserves to be finally recognized 😥 I have given the area my healing and release for her soul, in my own fashion 🥰
Thanks so much for posting this. This is a story that I have never forgotten about. I remember the recreation of Her being shown regularly on Look North and Calender. I have mentioned this story to many local people but it seems largely forgotten. I hope one day this case will be solved and laid to rest. Maybe You could do a video on Barry Prudom. Another story I was fascinated with as a kid. Thanks again.

Very interesting video, what a shame her family have no idea what happened. 👍👍
Thanks very interesting and sad how people can slip through the cracks of life and end up unknown
Thanks Andrew, very interesting and intriguing. I'm into family history and used to watch 'Heir Hunters' which is from a different angle. In this case there is no next of kin to give the deceased a name.
Great video, it was like watching crimewatch back in the 1990s

It’s crazy how close to home this is for me. I’m from Knaresborough. And I haven’t heard of this case at all. It’s very interesting. Hope we can find more information on this.
Hi Andrew, thanks for posting your absolutely fabulous videos. They are full of interesting facts and great insights, loved the steam train journey. It would be great if you could do something about the spa and the orchestra, and the very historical musical past of Scarborough . If you ever get time to come to France please do come and say hello to us in Normandy France. Keep making your brilliant programs and we look forward to seeing your videos. Kind regards

@@NorthYorkshireWanderer Brilliant. I don't think I've seen the aquarium video. Seen all the others I am sure. Saw Andy in Whsmith in York once and went to pieces! I then saw him in the Dinnerladies play at the Theatre Royal along with the actress who played the real Anita.
An interesting yet rather sad tale and equally sad that nobody seems to have missed this poor woman. I am intrigued to know why Tony from 'Dinnerladies' was phoning the police to tell them about the body ? Was Bren aware of this ?
Thanks

Well Andrew, that was certainly different to old railway lines, and buildings of interest, lets hope some person or persons get in touch, and bring a name, and closure to this poor woman's fate........must say the chap who rang, must know more, to know the exact location would surely be only someone involved....

at that time there were many Irish immigrants working in Britain, many who went missing. I remember when I first arrived in the UK there was a charity helping homeless Irish immigrants and trying to reconnect them with families back home.

What did the police surmise as the cause of death?
@NorthYorkshireWanderer
Жыл бұрын
They’ve never really said. As there are no leads as to who she was, all possibilities are still open. I think it’s generally considered this wasn’t the site where she died, but dumped in a hurry. Again though, no evidence I’m aware of to back that up 🤷♂️
