I am a fan of the original movie "Peyton place" with the late Lana Turner. Since returning to You-tube I am on a hunt to watch as many of these old television series and made for t.v movies. Some websites such as Amazon sell these for 35.00 or more. Vintage television series and movies have always been a favorite of mine. Due to the fact that cable tv has destroyed the entertainment industry in part to numerous channels and assorted hi-jinks that really don't appeal to me. I want to see acting, drama and thrillers with exciting players portraying characters from talented writers..Times have changed but not for the best in my opinion ..

+Gigi Du Hermoine I don't have cable , Dish r Direct TV, but opted for over the air broadcasting. There are so many stations now available that show a vast variety of older programs as well as the great old movies. When it's an Actors birthday week, they show lots of movies featuring that Actor. Crime series, thrillers, spooky stuff, laughable comedy as Burns and Allen, Gilligan, etc. There's a Justice channel devoted to real crime and criminals. Saturdays is mainly Westerns on one of the stations, for remembering the Saturday afternoon matinee at the local picture show, Also family things, as PBS presents, Just to much to mention all. But something for everyone.

Ok, what is over the air broadcasting? We don't have tv or anything but netflix and that is not much. If someone can tell me I would appreciate it. We do have Roku, but can't afford to purchase anything but netflix right now and I'm about ready to cancel that, if there is something else. Thanks.

You're welcome! Unfortunately, all copies of the daytime version, which lasted from '72 to '74, are known to have been erased. To minimize the extra costs, networks were known to erase all daytime television material up to the early '80s, so new material could be recorded on the same tape. It's such a waste...

I just finished watching the 514 episode original series, and I am sad to say that this made for television movie is a disappointment. Like many others who commented here, I didn't like the relationship changes here as in Norman is not married to Rita and how Dr. Rossi is no longer with Marsha Russell. Too many unanswered questions that could or should have been answered like how did Dr. Rossi's trial go for the death of Fred Russell? I also did not like the script all that much. However, I am glad I watched it and I am grateful you have posted it for fans of Peyton Place.

This NOT a "classic movie." If you want to see a classic movie, watch "The Maltese Falcon" or "The Philadelphia Story" or - for a more modern "classic" - "When Harry Met Sally." This piece of trash is barely fit for a drive-in on a Wednesday night in 1974. Absurd story line, bad writing, horrible acting. Good thing Joyce Jillson became an astrologer; it's clear she couldn't act her way out of a paper bag. I'm sure James Douglas, Barbara Parkins, Patricia Morrow and Ryan O'Neal wanted nothing to do with this thing! The others who are here from the original Peyton Place TV series must have been hard up for cash.

I usually love Stella Stevens's performances....but many of her most notable roles included "The Poseidon Adventure", and old '50s film noir moviesm as well as TV's "Flamingo Road" on NBC in the early '80s......But she couldn't hold a candle to Lee Grant as "Stella Chernak in the '60s Peyton Place primetime soap. Even if she'd been brought aboard as a new character, we die-hard fans of "PP" (the primetime series) might've accepted Stevens is a totally new role.

Many of the new actors in this film seem to deliver rather flat, one-note performances. Can't compare to the actors in the long running television series on ABC.

In the show from 1964-1969 Jill married Joe Rossi, they had a baby named Kelly and they left Peyton Place. Connie and Elliot left Peyton Place as well, they also had a toddler son named Mathew when they left. Norman was married to Rita Jax and at the end of the show Dr. Rossi was in jail for the murder of Fred Russell, who was the former spouse of Dr. Rossi's fiance, Marsha. I'm 37 minutes into this and I'm not liking it too much but I love Dr. Rossi and I love Elliot Carson so I suppose I'll deal until the end. I do wish Barbara Parkins had played Betty in this.

Sucralfate is used to treat and prevent duodenal ulcers and other conditions as determined by your doctor. It works by forming a barrier or coat over the ulcer. This protects the ulcer from the acid of the stomach, allowing it to heal. Sucralfate contains an aluminum salt.
