I remember watching this movie as a kid. The murder happened in Mercer County where I grew up. I was surprised it happened there because nothing ever happens there. It is a disturbing tale where a young man's head can be turned so easily by money and greed.

Except the names listed at the end are not the real names of the killers or the victim. Apparently the killers' father was a Court Commissioner in the town of Tiltonsville, OH, so the names are kind of hidden. The killers were Edward Swiger, Jr and Michael Swiger. The young man they murdered was Roger "Butch" Pratt. One of the girls who drove Roger Pratt to be killed is Teresa Wakulchik. Lots of hiding of names. And "Chelsea Coates" is actually Linda Karlen, who is out of prison now.

@norafrankie80's - Just a quick note of thanks. I was the Location Manager on this film and it was joy to be a part of this production. Ms. Jackson and all of the cast were fantastic, the crew worked beautifully together under the direction of Brad Wigor. I look back fondly on those days over 27 years ago. Never could we have guessed then about KZread or streaming services which would bring this film to new audiences over the years. BTW, the family of the real "Bobby Earl" came to set to visit us during filming having given the producers their blessing to tell their son's tragic true tale. They showed us what true courage looked like and it was an honour to meet them. Thank you again for your kind comments.

@@Films4You Thank you so much for the great quality upload. I was the Location Manager on this film and it does my heart such good to see it being made available to so many new viewers 27 years after we filmed it. This was a very special project for all the cast and crew...made even more memorable by the visit to set of the real family of "Bobby Earl". They couldn't have been kinder or more appreciative that we were telling their son's story with their full blessings. They showed us all what courage looked like. Again my thanks for sharing this film with others which holds such a special place in my heart.

My sis was the golden child and my God rest her soul was not as sweet and humble about it. My brother was the oldest and couldn't do anything wrong. That is why there are issues now in my family. Happily, my sister is going to have twins my mom would be so proud. But it is going to be a little hard trying to be an aunt to my sister's kids. Nothing is her kid's fault. Maybe her babies will help our relationship. I hardly know my sister or my brother. I blamed my mom. My mom had cancer and she passed away. So we never got to patch anything up between us. My mom and I had a hard relationship I was the odd child and my sister could do no wrong. Any day now she will be having her kids. I am nervous for her and it will take time to get used to the fact of being an aunt to twins. I hardly know my sister's husband. But all in God it will be okay. ❤.

I would not count on your sister being "enlightened" any time soon. With the added responsibility of twins, her behavior might even become more upsetting to you. I say this from personal experience. Biological kinship is not what it is cracked up to be. My own sister acted like she loved me to my face and conned our father until he died, leaving her virtually his entire estate of approximately $500,000. I am the eldest at 77. At age 65, she is my "baby sister" and I had no suspicion about her betrayal until Dad died. It has been 9 years since our father died and the will was probated. I have not heard from her since. Were I in your shoes, I would always be guarded. Set your own boundaries and stick to them! If your sister didn't respect you before now, don't count on her to change without God's help. Pray for her, but don't ever sacrifice your dignity in order to buy her good will. Feel free to write to me if you wish.
