Hi Matt, I've made a whole family tree of this family. I think the 'cursed' lady is Edith (the Mum). She had 8 daughters and 3 sons. None of whom married. Edith moved to another farm with 3 of her children, one of whom was an invalid. One of the brothers moved to a third farm with some sisters. The father stayed where you are now with one son and 2 daughters. He grew up in a very grand farm near there. So, the children ran 3 farms and never married or had children. The last one passed away in 2019. Also, Edith's brother died at French and Flounders leaving his pregnant wife who gave birth a couple of months later.

Matt, the reason you are my favourite explorer is because of your attention to details that others would just ignore. The king in the Bible is Solomon. Two women came before him, each claiming to be the mother of a child. Solomon ordered the child to cut in two and the halves given to each of the women. One woman agreed, the other said no, let her have the child. Solomon knew the woman who said no was the mother as the other woman didn't seem to care about the child. This story has been told over and over again to show the wisdom of Solomon. Hope you've had some rest, even Bear seemed a little tired. God bless you both. 👍🏼👍🏼❤❤

I’m supposing our Tax Inspector friend, fresh in his position, having been told he’d need to keep copies of each letter sent out to old widows, rushed out and bought that nice dandy register book thing and the very next day was when he was given a typewriter and a few boxes of that purple carbon paper stuff. It’s Novel to read though. Some of his attempts at sounding formal and authoritative were more reflective of someone who hated English grammar in school. … Just some thoughts. That or he died the very next day when he attempted to hand deliver the letter to the widow and her jealous gentleman friend shot him. Or Hmmm, I guess in England He’d been stabbed or strangled? 😮😅

38:22 what an odd letter! The heading:roofing plumbers, alterations, renovations, decorators.. Anyway her name was Lizzie Winifred Hay. Do you think the pickup at Powick was the village or the mental asylum? 😮

King Salman was to settle a dispute between the baby's real mom and a woman who stole it when the King couldn't get the down to the truth he said to divide the child in half and give each women half....the baby's real mother said spare the child give it to her knowing the love a real mother had that she would see her child live ...but in his wisdom the king gAve the baby to his real mom and made harsh judgement in the other. Great story. The Bible is a book full of much wisdom and wonderful stories.
